MXUS 3000 side covers (found)

I broke the side cover on the left side (where brake rotor attaches), but I can't find anywhere parts for the motor. My motor is V1 if that matters but I'm wiling to try a cover from a different version.
So if someone has a burned motor or unusable, please PM me.
Thanks!

edit: I bought new one from MXUS

What was the shipping price on that from Ireland?

I bought a used rim 16 x 1.60 on an online classified Kijiji for $50 and I just measured the spoke holes to be ~6.1mm and Holmes is selling 17" x 1.60 with 6.25mm spoke holes so I think I got a not bad deal. Any rim on ebay is $100+
so I am keeping a close eye on Kijiji now, looking for 17 x 1.60/1.85 and 18 x 1.60/1.85. Just measured a regular bicycle rims spoke holes and its 4.3mm. So Im gunna lace my MXUS 3kw V2 4T into the 16 x 1.60 moto rim and throw on a Sunko tire.
Hey Mark, I got a 17x1.40 Polished aluminum Prowheel racing rim I will give your for the price of shipping. Its used of course. Its set up to you use 6.4mm to 7mm spoke nipples. I had it laced to my 5404 with 8G spokes and 7mm x 18mm spoke nipples. PM me if interested.

MXUS 3000 4T with FF and Hubsinks 19" Tire

I have for sale one Mxus motor with a Pirelli MT66 Tire.
I tried replacing the hall sensors with honey wells but did not have the right size heat shrink. One magnet is also slightly chipped but not cracked. Has dual xt 150 paired with 10awg and 14wg phase wires for minimal resistance.
Windings in great condition. Apparently my pictures are too large,

SOLD MXUS 3000 hub Austin TX

SOLD

5 turn. I bought it in fall of '14. I think it's V1, it was the first one available to ES. Ridden 1 mile. It's a shame I never used it, but it's been sitting too long so I am looking to sell. I drilled spoke holes for 12g as the stock were too big. There is another set of holes on one side that were incorrectly placed. ( That doesn't affect anything).

Norco A-Line 2009 + MXUS 3000 V3 Build

Hello guys,
few months ago I finished my second build: e-bike based on Norco A-Line 2009 frame.

Specs:

- MXUS 3000 V3 4T motor
- Adaptto Midi-E controller
- 18s MultiStar (16 Ah) lipo battery (3 packs in seriers)
- Custom CNCed dropouts (steel, 15mm width, 1 kg weight for both pieces)
- Geared HammerSchmidt FR crankset with 42t chainring. With 1.6x overdrive this creates virtual 67.2t chainring :)

I am very satisfied how bike performs. Acceleration is very nice and so is the handling (even with 6.5 kg battery mounted on the front fork).

MXUS 3000 V2 hall stuck at 5v?

Few details about the bike:
-MXUS 3000W V2
-LYEN 18 fet controller
-20S 11aH 18650 pack

Okay so I went to repair my bike after my accident last year where the wheel fell out the dropouts...
After I put everything together and tested the throttle the wheel stuttered a few centimeters then froze.
First instinct was to swap the blue and yellow hall and phase wires which resulted in the wheel starting to spin but stuttering madly.
https://www.facebook.com/cameron.straug ... 153702430/

I then pulled out the hall tester and spun the wheel, this was the result...
https://www.facebook.com/cameron.straug ... 167030662/

I knew something was wrong with one of the halls, I pulled out my multimeter and plugged in the pack and started measuring.
Ground to power was fine, constant 4.4v..
Ground to Green was fine, flickering between 0 and 5v when wheel spun..
Ground to Blue was fine, flickering between 0 and 5v when wheel spun..
Ground to yellow wasn't fine, it stayed at a constant 5v no matter where the wheel was positioned...

Now does this mean there is a short somewhere or is the hall sensor itself just knackered?

All help is appreciated, thanks. Cameron.

MXUS 3000 caliper clearance

Hi

I have tried to find information about getting hydro brakes working with MXUS 3000 v3 on using regular 135 mm dropout frame and 160mm brake disc.
I am very curious how you guys have solved the caliper clearance issue for this motor?

My setup.

Fork <--2 mm spacer--> Disc <--3mm spacer-->Motor giving me 15.3 mm clearance between the disc and the motor.

What will not work:
  • Another extra spacer between motor and disc. Disc touches the cables during rotation
203 mm brake disk will not fix clearance, 60mm ontop 160mm is required.
Buying Magura Gustav. It is just too expensive
Shave of 1-2mm. Walls became to thin and did not hold for the pressure.
I read that Clarke Exo Skeletal http://www.bikester.se/clarks-skeletal- ... 37827.html might work. But I am not sure.

So please share how you managed to get hydro brakes work on this motor?

Thanks

Removing freewheel from MXUS 3000

My single speed 12T freewheel, which came with the MXUS finally failed totally. Now I would like to replace it, but I can't figure how to remove it

I don't remember how I attached it, but it seems to be kinda weird, because it is opposite to a normal BMX freewheel. What is the tool for this particular freewheel and how to use it? Where could I find a replacement?

MXUS 3000 TO CA3 WIRING QUESTIONS

Wiring Problem ..

I have bought a MXUS 300 and 60amp controller ..

I am wishing to connect the CA3 and run the crystalyte Throttle directly from the CA 3

In the following image I have the Andersons to the 3 phase wires connected and hall sensor wires also matched.

I have the battery connected (not in this shot) but I am not sure where to wire the CA3 to … I have attached to the connector which seems the most obvious but I not getting any action ..

I have done a couple of other builds but mostly plug and play (I’m feeling more like a newb then when I started) so this one has got me confused as its seems to be right but its not working .. = no drive and even though I have 52 volts out of LIFEPO4 battery I am not seeing anything (Volts) out of the controller outgoing wires.

Mxus 3000 watt V2 4T for sale EU/UK *sold*

For sale due to a cancellation of an order in a mini group buy that I organised, a factory new Mxus 3000 V2 motor with 4 turns, would be great in an 24 or 26 inch wheel.
It´s comes factory stock so not modified but I did buy some nice SKF bearings for it type 6003 2RSH which can be an direct replacement for the existing bearings, this and some phase wire modification for those who going to push a lot of amps through it should make it a fairly bulletproof hubmotor.

Unfortunately there are 2 tiny scratches due to transport near the MXUS sign, both less than a centimeter, easy to fix with some black paint.

V2 version so higher efficiency up to 90%, for those who want to calculate torque, top speed and power consumption, please use the calculator on http://www.ebikes.ca.

I´m asking 300 euro shipped for it including the bearings, the Item is located in Belgium, near the Dutch / German border, so for Belgium, Dutch or German buyers I´m not charging extra shipping costs buyers from other EU countries have to pay a little more for shipping.

PM me if you are interested, I can ship within 2 days in the EU - UK tracked.
Paypal or money transfer.

A simple heatsink for a mxus 3000

Hi guys , I had some aluminium channel lying around and some heatsink tape, so thought I'd add some heat sinks to the beast.

Image

Ran the hub at 100kmh and they stay well intact. Pushed 8kw through it, got home and those fins sure heat up, so they are dissipating heat. I noticed a slightly better cool down period. I'll be doing the sides at some point.

Dropout width, 165mm vs 155mm for cromotor? MXUS 3000?

I'm ordering the new Q76R from Qulbix.

On my current raptor, I have 165mm width dropouts.

I was wondering if 165 is still optimal or should I consider going smaller like 155? With my 165mm dropouts on my bike now, I need to use spacers with the cromotor.

I may use a Mxus 3000 hubmotor in the future and wondering if the 165mm may be too large and cause any drawbacks?

One other thing is I only use a single speed freewheel so I don't need any extra room for a cassette in the dropouts.

Should I stick with the 165mm or go smaller?

Thanks
