Re: First Build! Question about Controller Programming

The Alltrax has a 1/2 speed function.

Simply apply pack + to pin 4 through a Jekyll/Hyde switch to limit power to half of whatever you have the AXE programmed for

Be sure to log the Max unloaded speed and current drawn from the battery as these will be useful metrics to know in your testing.

Would three of these in series or paralel make for a decent battery source?? Pros or cons besides the weight issue involved?? http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-35-ah-sealed-lead-acid-battery-68680.html If this is viable... what would be the best way of charging them as a 36v setup? "If we went to 300 volts, it would hurt you on every front that matters," says Zero's Senior Battery Specialist Luke Workman. "We'd have lower efficiency, lower power, higher cost, higher drive train hea...

If wires start ripping off, I may start mixing it up somehow?? So far things are fine and its nice to be able to throw my bike in the ...

Switched to coconut oil Bonus points for experimenting, but ..coconut oil will coagulate into a hard waxy state - almost like a candle. It would be a real bummer to jump on your eBike, grab a handful of throttle and instantly rip all of the hall and phase wires off  Maybe switch to canola or...

Thanks for dropping by to crap on yet another topic that does not conveniently fit into your box of useful information

What kind of batteries (chemistry) are you using?
