Re: Any idea how to fix this?

In this case i agree with dnum. 1st thing because it is a skateboard for his son. ...i know how kids think and they are not concerned to watch the battery level and think about how much they can ride with this skateboard. They just wanna have fun till it stops working. therefore a Lifepo4 with BMS i...

is it like this one? http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/catalog/QUATTRO-1(1).jpg as you can see you it says: (-Negative) 1 2 3 4 5 6 so this should work for 6 cells. can you post a pic from your cell string ? the (-) must be connected to the first negative of cell 1 NOT to cell 6! connect it l...

Re: Any idea how to fix this?

Wow! nice project! Looking good! Use a Turnigy Watt Meter between controller and battery. Here you can see your peak Amps and voltage levels. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/catalog/T-wattmeter.jpg http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10080&Product_Name=Turnigy...

Re: cheap ebay lipo

I used to buy these packs before i bought the Turnigy's at HK. I bought the 4S - 5S and 6S packs with 4Ah It's nice for powering your lights.... I used them for powering my e-scooter and was very dissapointing about the actual Amp hours. The C rate was also unaccurate .. maybe it could handle it for...

Here is an idea I thought of to make use of the empty mirror sockets. Whent he second set of batteries arrived a generic set of mirrors came with it but no sockets for the holes to mount the mirrors. I attached the mirrors to the brake levers. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/664/rainjo9.png It's...

Do you have any pics of your pack while charging? here are 2 pics while charging at work.(phone does not come with a good camera onboard... ) http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh184/mrefex/2010-09-02...

Re: Switch mode supply mod

Am I looking for trouble putting 4 different voltage models in series ? BTW, on my S-350-24 clone model, adding a 1K resistor in parallel with the existing thermistor did the trick for the "always on" fan mod. If you just keep one modified for regulating the amps it's ok. all the others only do the...

Re: Charging Lipo Packs

I suggest 2 48v 7.3 A meanwells in series. one is modified to a stable 8A charge. both modified with the fan resistor mod. Keep in mind that you parallel all balancetaps on each 6S block , in your case 3 pieces. Buy one 400W 6S charger for balanced charge each month. I have a 24S4P setup and i have ...

you can imagine a car booster ? this thing also has +12V , ground, and a remote signal...
so it's the same principal...your controller has the +XX voltage, ground..and with the other remote you can switch the controller on..

i think that the only possible way to do this is to modify the CA-DP to a SA model. an then measure the total amps and speed the old fashion way.

Re: cheap china controller

you can switch the red wire on your handle bar..noproblem there. about the brake switch.. the two wires on your handlebar are normal..one is connected to the negative or plus side..you have to check that.. the other one is connected to the controller. i believe the controller needs a positive signal...

I use this controller. Nothing much to say about it.. works fine! good product for less money. Not much to tweak in it because of the processor which is not known yet howto only had to switch some phase and sensor wires to work properly with my hub motor. http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh184/mre...

Re: My new Scooter

Looks like a regular 48V china scooter. These can be powered at 63V max. cause of the inside electronics which probably are 63V caps. The handbrakes are a little bit 'cheapy' looking. So i don't know what kind of brakes it has. If you want to power it up you have to us lithium/lipo and a heavier con...
