Re: Reverse polarity with my controller

Just for my curiosity, how long was the battery wire set plugged in before you disconnect it? The reason I ask it because if you look at the second photo from page 1, you can see that is a copper wire placed/embedded on the circuit board trace. Usually the copper wire takes a long while (in a second...

Re: Upgrade ELECTRIC BICYCLE setup?

Yes, please consult our buddy Zombiess (Jeremy) for the great Hubzilla/Cromotor. He's the Greyborg USA dealer. He has got the exact same controller you have as well which he used for his ebike races. :) He's the one on the right from the picture below  : https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-a4Fu...

Re: Reverse polarity with my controller

Hi Cwah, I just happen to see your post. It is unfortunate to see you plugged in the battery in reverse order. You may want to check if the controller chip is still programmable prior you attempt to work on other issues, you can then avoid spending the unnecessary time & energy which you could have ...

Hi Chroot, I'm glad you are okay. It was as devastating as my last battery fire incident. I have found some original photos of the battery for Chroot since he originally emailed me for suggestions a while ago. Here are the pictures of the exact battery at the time Chroot picked it up from an...

Hi Warren, Thanks for pointing this out. I was spoiled with the electric bicycle riding position. I originally intended to change out the stem and a shorter and higher angle one and lowered the saddle/seatpost as low as possible expecting to get a better aerodynamic position. But I have to admit it ...

Re: Strange CA problem

I suspect there could be excessive voltage fluctuation somewhere between the battery, which would have the potential to cause the step down voltage circuitry in the Cycle Analyst get confused. The other possibility could be the voltage fluctuation from the battery to the controller rendering hall se...

Great story, Bill, and nice battery pack, Lyen. What does the No 5 display on the readout tell us? The device that is attached to the balance connector is the low voltage monitor alarm and display. No 5 is refer to the voltage being display on the 5th cell. The display will automatically display th...

He lives. Great to hear you survived the event. Sounds like quite an epic ride with weather to challenge even hard core riders. Shame you had to take it so slow to stay upright. And great photos. How did you manage to keep it rolling for the whole race? Did you have it running off a DC-DC? Well don...

Re: Race Role Call - 102 Miles Enduro in California (02-11-2

My iCharger 3010b finally finished charging. It puts back 59.25A to the 7S24P pack. Therefore, 102 miles (164Km) for less than 17 LBS (7.76Kg) with about 1534 watt hours was used out of total capacity of 1927 watt hours. I think that is not bad for the friction drive unit. It was a pain in the butt ...

Re: When money is of no concern:Super Quality Batteries

The highest energy density possible & lowest weight/size would be the way to go. And you'd want 100-150AH worth of it. As long as it had better than a 0.5C discharge rate, you'd be doing fine. You'd not be pushing 50 amps anyways, definitely 30 or less to maintain 20mph. ( 0.5C on a 100AH battery i...
