Whoo Hoo!! I finally got the idea for my new e-bike!

Forgive me if someone else has already posted a similar Idea, but I really need to bounce this idea off you folks! Please feel free to "burst bubbles" cover me with "wet blankets" (preferably not energized electric ones! ) or otherwise "rain on my parade". I do believe I have this idea pretty ...

Re: Optimal Wheel size rear hub/rear drive configuration

Good to know, I also had an idea for conquering the hills, what if I had a set up that allowed me to put all batteries in series, for short bursts, i.e. this 7-9% grade here in town (it probably isn't even 1/4 of a mile, just steep) and upped my voltage? I'd much rather spend more and replace less, ...

Optimal Wheel size rear hub/rear drive configuration

I have sorta a weird question lol! I rode motorcycles for years, and I have just come to wonder if part of the reason it takes more room to u-turn on my 26" bicycle is the wheel size. Also, I am looking to get the most all-around performance in my next e-bike build, and I have noticed people putting...

Wonderful! You guys are great! :D

Now all I need is to wait till pay-day  (Unless I can float it lol! Got a bit of a "slush fund" for Dad's Amped bike project  just don't tell him this part is going for mine  )

Gonna send Recumpence a PM!

Redi-made sprokets that bolt on rear disk break hubs?

Hello all, I am a long time shade-tree fabricator, but any time I can get something already made for my purposes that is reasonably priced, experience has taught me to go that route instead of trying to re-invent something myself. I saw some mention of something like I am describing in another post,...

Re: Hello! and Dewalt 36v DC9360 Q's

Yeah, I can imagine, I will say however that 99% of the riding won't be done on any very steep hills, and I am the heaviest rider that will be on the bike (165 lbs). I do have another question to pose, I am using a 36v Amped Bikes kit, and it's going to be annother couple weeks for the batteries to ...

Re: Hello! and Dewalt 36v DC9360 Q's

Many things come into play when you start to talk about batteries. Bike and rider weight, type of terrain including the grade of the hills, controller and motor rated amperage and riding habits. Two packs will probly make it with pedaling close to 10 miles but it will be a little hard on the batts....

Re: Hello! and Dewalt 36v DC9360 Q's

Wonderful! Sounds just like what I am looking for. :D Am I not going to be able to get near my 10mile range with just 2 DC9360 batteries? Will using just 2 batteries will be more of a limited range issue or a over taxing of the batteries issue? I may have a hard time convincing my father that we nee...

Hello! and Dewalt 36v DC9360 Q's

Hello all, I am new to the whole E-bike thing, just getting myself educated anywhere and everywhere I can on the web. Thanks in advanced for any and all advice! I am a proud new owner (or maybe just the mechanic! ) of a Amped Bikes rear conversion kit. This kit is set-up for a 36v s...
