Re: MXUS 5T - 4 Banger Build

With torque arms on the mind and all sorts of things around the house looking like torque arms, I discovered this in the shed. My trusty old pliers , a little surface rust , but look at the shape :) I'll add another clamp tomorrow and of course get to work on the other side :) The torque arm should...

Re: MXUS 5T - 4 Banger Build

Well I just upped my voltage to 75v @ 60amps , what a difference ! Used some nanotech batts as well, big difference the pull is far better. 5t at 75v is nice, my fets are 75v max though so I'm pushing things :) mmmm the motor got a little warmer this time round :) Jestronix, What is your top speed ...

Re: New MTB E-bike from Biltema tuning

As the other poster wrote, a 20a controller and 48v battery is probably what you need, generic controllers are dirt cheap on ebay, and since you are an engineer, that should be no problem All it takes is another controller and 12v more in series to your battery and you got a faster bike And Grandma...

Re: New MTB E-bike from Biltema tuning

no harm in trying, but this thing is still not a moped, ;-) have you tested, the max speed of the motor when its not touching the ground? Primitive machine, I think Jesusjesus has a point here. It would give you a good idea what the motor can do if you can test the no load speed with a 19 amp contr...

Interesting dnmun... What about VR3 and VR1? One adjust amps the other adjust cut off i guess.
Can you tell us something about the VR3 and VR1?

Re: Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

You'd need 16 pins, might have to use a DSUB or 2x 8S JST. do you mean want a female connector for Neptune ? i pre-ordered one and contacted with Danny, as per his information it will come with 1 x temperature sensor + 1 x ph2.0 16 pin female connector with 150mm long wire ... i suggest 150mm is to...

the Neptune lite sounds interesting and i would like to experiment with it. Anybody know where i can buy the JST PH 2.0mm female 15 pin connector plug w/wire ? That is what i would need to connect my 15s lipos to the board right? best i could find was a 12 pin http://g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1k3MxHVXX...

Re: Overvolting Bafang BPM

As in, how robust are they to start with? 2,000kms doesn't seem like very much to me. You can't eat your cake, and have it too. Geared motors have nylon gears that can melt if overvolted or overamped. If you really want robust then don't mess with geared motors get a direct drive motor. My very fir...

48v 1000w kit $200 10ah 12s lipo $150 Misc. $150 Yep, easily done on $500. Reliable? I've got 4 years and 15K miles on mine. The above is possible but it also depends on where you live. If you live in Europe add a 25% tax on the above. Have you read this and done this yet? Read this and fill in you...

Re: eMoto battery?? Need help..

Firtst off 26v battery is not a common size voltage pack. it is either 24v,36v or 48v battery I would switch out the controller to a 48v 17a controller then get a 48v battery. That thing will rip. I know i did a similar mod to a 24v geared motor. Since it was geared for 24v it will give you a way be...

The most maintenance free brake is regen. But regen for the majority of the braking (about 95%), and then hydraulic disc for the remainder has been my favorite. Agree with Alan, Regen all the way! Disc brakes for the remainder. As you said cwah i have finished 3 rims aswell because of rim brakes. I...

The key word here is 10s or 13s. Shame because for me 12s or 18s LiPo balance, support would be much more attractive.

I saw that powerbank in action in china. It really does work. It is LiPo batteries off course it can pump out the amps. Maybe not 800 though.

*Edit: I should have taken video it was an old big block engine.

I can confirm it complains alot accelerating from a dead stop. It also complains alot when going up any kind of incli...

Both those bikes will work, heck just about any bike will work. Personally, I would either invest in a brand new bike from walmart or invest in a bike of a bit higher quality, maybe spend 300-400usd. I think you are doing great! One thing you can ask him is: What is the brand of the motor? There are hundreds of hub motor m...
