Re: capacitor identification help please

The pads are broken off. Only two tiny pin heads flush with the bottom of the cap exposed. Somebody else could probably get it to work but having a new part with the pads in place will be enough of a challange for me.

Re: capacitor identification help please

lol, I didnt even think about my meter. I was able to read the broken cap and it pulled about 9.9uF on the meter. Darn thing is tiny. I've just ordered some 10uF 35v replacements.

Thanks folks.

Re: capacitor identification help please

Yes, SMD, not radial leads. Sorry.

Is it possible that its a 10uF @ 35v? I found a bunch of 10uF 35v SMD caps about the same exact physical size. 0.07uF would be kinda oddball I think?

The 704 might be a manufacturer's product code?

Its from a 24v controller.

capacitor identification help please

I need to replace a very small cap that has come loose off a board. I'm not familiar with this small cap and am having trouble locating a replacement. Its very similar to the cap on the far left of this pic and measures about 5mm x 5mm with radial leads... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commo...

Re: Winston-Salem Police fail to cite driver who hit biker

Where is the media in all this? If the facts about the accident are as straightforward as have been presented, the local media in my area would have a field day with it and I don't consider my local bicycle friendly whatsoever. edit: After a little Google research, it seems the Police didn't issue a...

Re: Winston-Salem Police fail to cite driver who hit biker

I'd be curious to read a response by the police department as to why they decided to to cite the vehicle operator before I passed my own personal judgment. The possibility exists that further investigation of the accident resulted in the opinion that the cyclist's actions may have contributed to the...

Re: Electric Scoot Coupe ?

IMO its a fools game to ride the machine among full-size vehicle traffic. Its relatively low to the ground and not very visible from the driver's seat of many automobiles. Within just a few miles of riding in light traffic, it was obvious other drivers either had a difficult time noticing us or plai...

Re: Safer cars make drivers more dangerous

I remember many years ago when it was alleged restaurant drive-through windows dramatically increased the accident rate. Damn rednecks with their giant extended side-view mirrors irresponsibly sucking down quarter pounders and large Cokes while behind the wheel... we must stop such scourge.

Re: Electric Scoot Coupe ?

I rented a 2-stroke powered ScootCoupe while on vacation with my family in Captiva a couple of years ago. Though the max speed limit on the island is limited to 35 mph max and traffic is very light, the machine is a deathtrap IMO. Put about 5 miles on ours before I returned it and ate the $130 daily...

Typically car drivers just don't care enough to worry about anything other than themselves and their text messages. I've even been caught by surprise driving up to and in too close proximity to cyclists before.

Re: I'm going to start riding in the middle of the road

If you cycle regularly, close calls are a common occurrence. Injury is all too common and eventually likely. Hopefully the worst of it will be inconvenience. Laws will not bring you back to life. Motorists cant keep from killing each other daily. You can bet a few cyclists will get caught up in the ...

Re: Disc brake material

410 or especially 440 stainless (440 is more expensive) works well for rotors. Must be hardened by heat-treating or they'll groove quickly with only a few applications of the pads. I've had several custom designs laser cut when I was having custom parts manufactured for EVO gasoline powered stand-up...

No but that circumstance was not included in the assessment of such vehicle owners. Beside, having owned such vehicles for many years, I'd have to say driving with the mirrors unnecessary extended must be the exception. Such large vehicles are already challenging enough to navigate in tight quarters...
