Re: Cell-log hookup for 4S2P

No that will not work. You need 2 cell-log units to do that. I believe the cell log measures each cell tap relative to the previous cell tap. The first four will measure correctly, but once you get to the second pack, the first cell will not be referenced to the last cell of the previous pack, and y...

Re: I'm considering buying a Chevy Volt

I've heard the Mitsubishi Miev allows you to program pre heating or cooling while still on the charger. Anyone know if the volt or others have a similar feature. Quote from the Spark EV forum linked by -dg, the spark does have pre-heat /cool activated by app or fob. Yes we use the preconditioning i...

I used the copper plated metal straps you use to hold up copper plumbing pipe. Multiple layers lining up the holes. I used it as buss bars in a thundersky battery pack. I know it's not the best, but it was cheap and easy to find. http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae61/yopappamon/df4c96b9.jpg http:/...

Re: Pan & Tilt Security Cameras?

like Yopappamon's direct image from his camera--that tells me the kind he has should work ok (not quite as good as i'd like, but tolerable), as far as quality of still image goes, at least Yeah, unless they are mounted at eye level and within 10-15 feet of a person your probably not going to be abl...

Re: Pan & Tilt Security Cameras?

I have a couple of foscam fi8918w? About $60 on Amazon

They are pan and tilt, IR illumination, wifi or wired, not very water proof, but under an awning is fine. Built in web page, I use an iPad and android app.

Decent for the price.

Re: Bradley GT II Electric car

I exchanged texts with the seller. Says they are one year old batteries, everything in good shape. Says its one of fifty factory built electrics.

Says he has a high bid of $10,000. I'm out. Way more than I was looking to pay.

Hi Dave.

Just my opinion but once you go electric, an ice just isn't an option. You can get more speed and plenty of range from the right electric kit.

What max speed are you looking for?

I just got this for my car, but for a cheapy its very high res., has reasonable stability control, and nice wide angle Has a suction mount and a tripod style screw mount, poor battery life, but can be usb powered. Full HD recording Not water proof, but could work for a bike cam http://dx.com/p/5-0mp...

I have some sympathy for newbs. I'm an electrical engineer with stong electronics background and when I started it was still quite intimidating and a tall mountain to climb to get up to speed with you all.

It can get old at times but as in many things, it's best to be gentle with virgins.

Homemade hard cider and apple jack

My new place has 3 orchard sized apple trees and one 50+ year old massive heritage tree. Last year there was a late frost so there was no fruit (that's ok, we didn't live here then) but this year is was a bumper crop. We picked as many apples as our baskets could hold, I borrowed an old school apple...

Re: Considering a hybrid car, which on is best for my drive?

The used hybrids around here are either expensive or have 200,000 + miles. I just saw an older Prius for sale that had 300,000, front fender was damaged and they still wanted 5 grand. The details on the Miev lease don't look too attractive. Low monthly but high fees to get it transfered. I guess I'l...
