Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

They didnt even mention the phase amps.. What point did they make, that a higher turn count will make more torque when it is less limited then the lower turn motor? There are a lot of threads about this, here is a recent one: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=109130 These la...

nevertheless don't get discouraged by faster windings. They are great unless forest and hills is your territory or smaller battery and controller accessible only. By looking more and more to these bikes it will became clear that it's almost the same what motor T version your use. It's the controller...

Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

I'm so thankful for all your helful and detailed answers and informations. Thank you so much :) But how does it get the motor to top speed if the controller levels down the amps fed to the motor ? And is field weakning involved in some of those processes ? motor gains acceleration with volts and am...

Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

serious_sam, indeed, power is power, but unfortunately you won't have the same physical ebike performance (movement, dynamic, acceleration) with different T motor versions with the same electrical Power. The fast wind motor will not draw more amps from the battery at the same expected performance as...

Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

Sparfuchs, you got all things correct regarding slower and faster wounded motors. Slower motor has less rpm per volt; fast wound motor has more rpm per volt. Yes, max speed depends on battery voltage (20s 84v). Max battery voltage determines how fast it will spin, therefore 5T will reach ~70kmh and ...

Re: Affordable controllers 2020 (for QS205 5T)

Overall there are no many to choose from. Sabvoton is ok. Would not suggest anything else for the price unless it would not fit (because of size). It is designed to work up to 150a 350a, but unlocked and set to 200a 400a phase it might have shorter service life but better dynamic. Locked or unlocked...

Re: Affordable controllers 2020 (for QS205 5T)

Look at these controller similarly like to music amplifiers. They all do the job, but expensive ones do it better. Expensier ones not just sound better but have various additional features too. Nevertheless Kelly and sabvoton is like a glove for the motor. With Nucular and BAC you can run mid drive ...

Re: Affordable controllers 2020 (for QS205 5T)

Sabvoton 72150 better acceleration compared to kelly 72300 Both controllers are simple to configure compared to some expensive complicated ones. if you get 5t it will be good acceleration. Even your small weak battery will be usable at the beginning. If want best seek for Nucualar russian or BAC ame...

Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

18'' is ok. Kinda big diameter especially with 3.0 tire but anyways small compared to 26 bicycle wheel. 18'' ok for 5t but for faster motor maybe 17'' or even 16'', but most people stick to bigger wheels for better looks, that is why mass sold ebikes have bigger wheels . Smaller wheel better acceler...

Re: Again...3T, 4T, 5T, 6T difference

probably qs 205 3kw. Regarding winding. There is no best option. All options are ok and great. More Turns, more it heats up with the same amps but more torque from starts. Less Turns more dynamic in higher speed but be prepared to get new battery. Also dynamic depends on what rim size you get. If yo...

Any updates on the new 138 motor with the reduction drive? I have pre ordered this motor and am looking for some clarity. Rim spoke holes diameter needs to be considered. Otherwise rim is ok.

Yes, look for some moped shop. You should have shops in your land which stock rims you need.

Re: Can over-spinning a small wheel cause over-volt problems?

I used to have overvoltage error withy Sabvoton but it was seldom therefore I never looked for true reason behind it. I would reboot the controller on the go with ON/OFF key on my scooter, it takes about 2 or 3 seconds (plus reaction time); might put one in dangerous situation especially if road is ...

Not answer to your question but...
Unlocked it has 200 battery amps and 450a phase amps. I doubt you can request more amps through it without changing some parts.

You are right no arguing about that, but as I mentioned it's for mc wheel so it's either: ~76mm radial or ~91mm for one cross. Yes, rims ERD might differ, holes slightly different too. And again, what I want to find out what spoke lengths people used for 16'' moto rim. I got option either get 90mm o...

AFAIK, you'd need to know *which* moto rim, and what lacing pattern, because the ERD will be different for different ones of each of those.
I want more answers than riddles.
Just tell me what length you used and what pattern. It's 16'' mc wheel for god's sake.

Could you share what spoke length you used for 16'' moto rim with 205 qs hub or mxus 205 3kw.
