Electric bike share program in Longueuil Quebec

Longueuil is testing an electric bike share program (PBSC). Montreal has the tried and true Bixi bike share program but they're not electric assist. Anyone try the PBSC ebikes in Longueil?

Re: Electric bike share program in Northampton Mass

I strongly endorse bike share programs but after riding Valleybikes, very disappointed. Almost half the bikes had no power despite meter reading fully charged. Numerous bike riders also shared similar experiences. Really sad, because the infrastructure is in place and plenty of initial positive PR b...

Ebikes cheaper?? You haven't been to a gas station or super market lately!!! Everything is going up. My little tax break doesn't cover the higher cost of gas, groceries and living!! Check out the price of razors next time you're shopping.

Public parking; How to prevent damage/vandalism to bike?

I'm vacationing Montreal this summer, looking for a hotel with safe indoor parking. Any tips/suggestions? Locking bike to rack is easy but how do I prevent vandalism/damage to my bike? https://www.mtl.org/fr/explorer/quartiers/ouest-de-l-ile http://cyclingquebec.com/en/montreal?gclid=CjwKCAjw_47YBRB...

Correct charger? Luna Cycle Standard 2 amp 52 volt charger

My Luna cycle battery charger for my 52 volt 13.5 amp battery died. I order the new standard 2 amp 52 volt Luna Cycle charger. They sent me a charger marked Umini 2 amp 58.8 volt Charger. Customer Support immediately answered my email, said it's the "correct charger…...52 v batteries 100% is roughly...

You will like them. The battery does last, and they survive extreme weather.
Thanks. I'll mount them tomorrow. I really appreciate the automatic on/off design.

Re: Rear bike light too bright.

I broke down and purchased two Lucid bike lights. First impression: appreciate the automatic on/off and sleep mode. Mode is set by orientation, no programming required. Con: could be brighter. My hotshot lights easily outshine the lucids but I do like the braking mode. Hope to see more bike lights w...

Tonaro here in the US sold under the Evelo name has worked for me in the past 4 1/2 years and 10k+ miles. Now on 2nd battery pack (bottle style) purchased from Luna Cycle which mounts easily on the downtube of my Aurora. No need to be concerned about a proprietary replacement battery. I did had a p...

Re: Rear bike light too bright.

One the best invention for biking safety, is the Lucid brake light. It is not very bright but big enough to be seen in daylight, and automaticly much brighter when you are braking, that is detected with deceleration sensor. It does work with batteries so you can clip it anywhere, and portable to an...

Tonaro dead?

Is Tonaro, the Chinese maker of the Evelo brand ebike gone? I can't google Tonaro any more. Evelo is moving to a newer mid drive system. My first Ebike was a RMartin (Tonaro), rode well. My last Tonaro was an Evelo, VERY expensive head ache. Great customer service from evelo but the bike was a dud. ...

Nice looking bike but 1500 bucks buys a new high quality prebuilt ebike with all the bells and whistles. Good quality ebike kits are almost the same price as prebuilt ebikes. 800 bucks sounds right.

[quote="MadRhino"]George. I have no doubt that you are happy with this bike, but the OP is looking to build a powerful bike. With the battery that he has already, it would be conservative to expect 10 times the power that you are suggesting. "Power...expect 10 times you are suggesting". Sounds like ...

Re: What ebike would you choose for 1700 dolars?

1500 bucks buys a new Radcity. Do the math, some ebike kits are more expensive than ebikes. Radcity is a well built powerful ebike with regenerative braking, 48 volt 10 amp battery and a powerful DD motor 750 watt motor. I'm very satisfied with mine. https://www.radpowerbikes.com/pages/radcity-techn...

I hate a dirty bike. I frequently run my ebike thru the local car wash. I strap it on my car rack and run it thru the local touchless car wash. Not only does my car look better but my bike is like shiny new. I've been doing it for years with all my ebikes and never had an issue. Naturally I remove t...

Thanks for all the advice. Both bikes are great, both have different qualities that meet my needs. I use the Radcity for around town and the Elux for longer bike rides.
