Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike from China

That was a good video and great camera work to really get an idea of what it is, size of it and what it can do. Doesn't look like it would fit my 6'4" 210 lbs size though. Bummer for me.

So for those of us that are in the USA we do not have to pay VAT.....is that correct?

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Repairing a bad cell in a glue pack is worse than sticking your hand in a garabage disposal. Sucks big time. I've done it a few times and it never gets easier. My next pack I will only glue the p's together and the whole thing will be held together with tape and shrink wrap just in case!

Re: how to check date code INR18650 30Q

At bottom of page it says,

'What cells are currently known to not work with this tool?

The Panasonic-Sanyo GA, and the Samsung 30Q are both not currently functioning with this tool."

Maybe that is why it's not working?

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

It would be a 195 amp pack. But if you look at the graphs on the 30Q they handle 15 amps as well as the VTC6....literally shadow the VTC6 discharge line at .02-.03 less voltage. Only thing is they can not continually handle the current past about 2.8 amps where the VTC6 goes to about 2.8 ish amps......

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

As I wrote I have a QS205 3.5T being controlled by a MaxE and I peak at 200 battery amps. Day to day I might hit that once or twice to make the ride more fun. Average runs will be 100 amps at maybe 150 for super short durations of a max of 30 seconds. Even with the VCT3 pack I have I can't keep full...

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

From the battery builder I respect most here that was what I wanted to hear. I kept leaning toward the 30Q but when the vtc6 went on sale it had me second guessing. I know the VTC6's hold voltage ever so slightly better than the 30Q but the 30Q seem to have less decay in capacity as the cycles start...

New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

So it's time for a new pack and pretty sure I'm ready to order next week. So if I can choose from 25R, 30Q or VTC6 which way would I want to go. I read and read and always end up confused. When I compare the cells it doesn't really end up a fair comparison since I'll buy the cells to get the amps I ...

I agree....iron not hot enough and a little extra mechanical bonding can be achieved if you sand the area your going to solder.

Re: GrayK's Cyclone Powered Norco A-Line

Looks great. For me being 6'4" tall I'm not sure I'd ever fit with the batteries there. When I built my Giant DH Team I put lipo in a Pelican case on the front forks and I can tell you that 24s lipo at 20 amps sux on the forks. I think your way will ride way better.

Enjoy the build.

Re: How many cells into this frame?

Realistically you can fit about 450 with some room for wires and connections. I had 360 in mine at one time. Not saying you couldnt shoe horn up to possibly 500 but it would be awkward at best with (4-5?) multiple separate packs. I used the side cover spacers to make mine about 1" wider so my cells ...

Just for curiosity, I looked in all the various subsections of that site, and there are no covers separately available on that site, so why recommend it? The only thing that comes up at all for a search (using that site's built-in search) for the word cover is this https://westcoastelectrics.com/pr...

Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY

I have a 800ws CD welder and with .3 mm I can definitely feel it when welding. I have all huge cables and use glidcop electrodes from sunstone. I personally think that over .2mm is kinda a waste used with a properly designed pack. I'll betcha just going to glidcop would make all the difference you n...
