Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

340 amps through that motor is pretty amazing......so was it a monster before the MaxE gave out? Most things run best right before they die! Think 2 stroke!!!

Got any video yet?

Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY

I can’t find where it is but search for pictures of maddin88’s battery builds.....NO ONE builds a better 18650 pack then he does.

Battery Hero even.....

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

I guess we will see how it all works out for all of us. I’ll peak at 200 amps a few time here and there on an hour ride. My bike at 50 mph on hilly areas will only draw 3 or 4 amp per cell.

I keep a very low profile when riding to keep myself on the safe side of the law.

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

I went with 300 30Q’s for a 20s15p pack.i was seriously considering VTC6 but most complain about longevity......on the vap boards.

At 15p it is definitely way over kill. Like my butt could sit on the seat for 3 plus hours burning through 45 amps.

Re: KDX 200 cells trailbike conversion

In the long run I think you would be better with brushless but a budget is a budget. I think your battery is going to need to be bigger though. My bike has a 20s15p of 30Q so I’d think that would be the smallest you would want to go. I’d tell you that you would need 20p to hit 400 amp peaks be it 30...

Re: Tesla Cells for sale as wrapped or welded packs

So what kind of sag do you get a 20 amps. I thought those maxed at 10 amps? What cell is this exactly since I’ve never been able to figure that out? Panasonic what?

Re: Electric Track Racer

11 amps would be fine and 18 amps doable but again, I think we should always plan for a maximum of 15 amps. By going to 8p you would drop your overall draw from the aforementioned 11 and 18 to 8 and 13.75. That would keep your voltage up, heat down, battery stress down and over all wattage much, muc...

Re: Electric Track Racer

VTC6 cells are not 30 amp in reality, they are move of a 20 amp cell. 30 amps they over heat big time. I’d recommend figuring them at 15 amp and going a minimum of 10p. At 4 or 5p they will sag big time. At 30 amps they sag .8 volts on a fully charged cell. At 15 amps peak it will live a long, long ...

Re: A123 18650 for sale

Makita packs are Sony Konion cells. The a123 cells are still good just not as light as lithium. I ripped many Dewalt 36 volts packs apart over the years.....many! I also ran the a123's for years. The a123 cells are 26650 cells though.....not 18650. At least the ones that came from the Dewalt packs. ...

That was a good video and great camera work to really get an idea of what it is, size of it and what it can do. Doesn't look like it would fit my 6'4" 210 lbs size though. Bummer for me.

Repairing a bad cell in a glue pack is worse than sticking your hand in a garabage disposal. Sucks big time. I've done it a few times and it never gets easier. My next pack I will only glue the p's together and the whole thing will be held together with tape and shrink wrap just in case!

At bottom of page it says,

'What cells are currently known to not work with this tool?

The Panasonic-Sanyo GA, and the Samsung 30Q are both not currently functioning with this tool."

Maybe that is why it's not working?

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

It would be a 195 amp pack. But if you look at the graphs on the 30Q they handle 15 amps as well as the VTC6....literally shadow the VTC6 discharge line at .02-.03 less voltage. Only thing is they can not continually handle the current past about 2.8 amps where the VTC6 goes to about 2.8 ish amps......
