I don't know the facts. They were probably overwhelmed with repairs for sure. There were some comments on here saying they were more focused on much higher power applications.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread
Perhaps I spoke too soon. I just went and had another look and after reverting the shunt resistance to it's original setting it didn't seem to effect the realtime wattage and amperage after all. Unsure why it seemed that way earlier. It's getting late so I will explore further tomorrow. I did take ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread
I recently purchased a Max-E equipped bike and have been doing my due diligence getting to know the intricacies of the system. At the moment however one thing currently has me a bit stumped and I was hoping you fine folks could educate me a bit. At idle the watt meter on the adaptto display shows -...

Looking at the pressure strength needed in comparison to the steel sprocket keyway, its not looking too likely that a suitable material will be found.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Hi, It is a casting? I see the original sproket has been covered in release agent. The pressure on the keyway groove is way to high to be workable IMO. http://www.tribology-abc.com/calculators/key.htm Here you can run some numbers, the keyway is 4x4mm, peak torque close to 45 N.M at the shaft. It g...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
http://i66.tinypic.com/e5p8gj.jpg How long will it last? Place your bets! I’ve now got a CAD file of the 12t cog. Got a prototype print, as you can see in blue. The other is the original. Done in a toughened resin, as this was all that was offered at the printers. The CAD file could now be altered ...

Re: LMX Motor - Kelly Controller - Hall Problem?
I have a similar oddity with my lmx motor. My cycle analyst records speed correctly when throttle is engaged but shows speed exactly 3x higher when throttle is released as if there are 3 pulses coming from each sensor. Not sure what causes it. Also with Kelly KBS 72181E Be glad when my Nuc 12f turns...

Re: electric trial bike
That looks like a no nosense trials bike. Good choice of fork.. Manitou Dorado. Very minimal frame with combination foot platform/skid plate and a very small looking rear wheel to give exceptional torque. In my opinion putting a seat on it just dilutes it from the hardcore raw application of riding ...

Re: For CA HC: can single phase be used instead of hall magnet?
Unfortunately i have no access to an oscilloscope. The speed reading is most definitely 'exactly' 3x faster when off throttle. The motor does not spin faster off throttle or have any freewheeling capability. i may have to look at how i have wired the bike together. Could this be causd by a wiring a...

Re: For CA HC: can single phase be used instead of hall magnet?
So how can i get the two readings aligned? Have to find out what's causing the extra pulses first. The motor isn't spinning any faster with throttle off than on, right? (shouldn't be possible) Since the controller wouldn't be sending phase signals to the motor, then it can't be phase-hall interfere...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]
If using a heat resistant conformal liquid coating, i suggest getting one that glows in UV light. Its very easy to miss areas when using a clear liquid and a thin coat can sometimes not give enough barrier to be waterproof. Obviously you'll need a UV torch to check your brush work  I'd much ra...

Re: For CA HC: can single phase be used instead of hall magnet?
I have a CAv2.3 and use the yellow speed sensor wire connected to a hall sensor wire going into the motor but it only reads accurate when i release the throttle. Is there a known or possible reason for this. I use a HC shunt. Here is the set up. It's a mid-drive motor on an LMX bike. A middrive mot...

Re: For CA HC: can single phase be used instead of hall magnet?
Some sensorless motors have a hall sensor for speed built in, and this could be used (it's designed for it). Some sensorless controllers have a board that translates the phase signals into hall signals, mounted at the PCB where the halls signals would've gone in there. Most of them are cheap "...

And you set it on the embeded software ? The Guià looks veeeery good but how can it go that fast (>60kmh) with only 1500W ? A cycle analyst is a small device that can override some aspects of the controller. However the controller on the lmx161 does need some programming with software to get best r...

And you set it on the embeded software ? The Guià looks veeeery good but how can it go that fast (>60kmh) with only 1500W ? Because, as I said, mid-drive motors are more efficient than rear hub motors. You can have more Watts on a rear hub motor, thus draining battery faster, and yet go just as fas...

Lmx will give you best perfrmance out of the bunch for sure. My lmx161 is lightweight compared to the others, and acceleration is outstanding. 10,000watt bursts :thumb: If top speed of 40mph aint enough with stock gearing just put in a smaller rear go-kart sprocket which cost just a few euros. There...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners
Took the picture and over exposed it. Now, you can see it clearer. Thanks for sharing your observations. It looks like there is room for another O ring on the inner shaft of the sprocket, which would stop the other one from moving out of position. In other words, have two O rings next to each other...

Re: Stealth, Qulbix, Cyklon, HPI, ??
Qulbix have always had great products. Well designed, sturdy and good comms. You can specify exactly what you want with the MD140 as they will build it from the ground up for you, so it can be a bespoke build with some choice of components. It also has the option of either pedals or pegs  But ...
