Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

The other factor is that I'd be designing this as an OffRoad racing class, not interested in tarmac, as fun as that is. Will leave that for others to invent.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Yep, I hear you and Agree. Better to have it dealt with this way than the alternative of dealing with it after someone is seriously injured by some tool riding like this. I've cringed at the sort of things I've been seeing posted up. Sure, wheelies are fun, but wheelies at speed past pedestrians in ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Right, spotted who the tool was. ARidersLife: 8m40s mark in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEdETIjfngo

Congrats on wrecking the reputation of a bunch of responsible owners, who know better than to ride like this. Your actions will lead to the bikes being regulated out of the Australian market.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Congrats to the owner of a Red Stealth Bomber. You just made national news in Australia by cycling at full tilt in traffic. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-03-06/electric-bikes-pose-safety-risk-expert-says/7224270 Second article in this will show you the full clip as part of broader eBike article: h...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I've placed a call to Lincoln and left a voicemail, suggested that he get his eyeballs onto this E-S thread ASAP to sort through the issues you guys are posting about. Without knowing the details of the transaction, I do know that the AUD/USD exchange rate was tanking around that time, which can lea...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

All this talk of VBoxx finessing and ends "just in case' gets me glancing at my Schlumpf equipped Fighter and grinning at its simplicity. You notice that Rix since you made the switch? I'm not aware of any bikes outside of Stealth that use the VBoxx - I don't doubt that they exist, but certainl...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Spent the last Saturday taking a close look at a new track taking shape not far from home, with my youngsters on 20" and me on a 24" cruiser, but went back to shoot a track review today. Still in design stage at the moment, so it's a fun time to be taking a look at it and thinking about ho...

Speed-Pedelec EU standards + Helmet Standards for 45km/h cap

I've been watching the EU standards discussion for a while now to see how the S-pedelec class was going to be regulated, looks increasingly like the move is towards Type and Component approval, based on this: http://www.bike-eu.com/laws-regulations/nieuws/2016/1/new-type-approval-for-speed-e-bikes-n...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Interesting find QR! As you suggested though in its current state it's asking for trouble. I reckon the go kart tracks are the way to go if only there was a way to hire them economically with some sort of an injury liability waiver in place so no one could try and sue anyone if they came off. Peopl...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Even the Green line looks well over-specced for what I'd expect a green line rider to be able to tackle. Putting a set of doubles in as the first obstacle is just effing stoopid..I can just imagine what my 8yo would do on his first run through this, and wince.. http://store.quietrush.com.au/uploads/...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Interesting discovery for a new Central Coast NSW riding venue over the last little while, an unused Xtreme Sports park, where 66% of the lines are Black (stupid level of difficulty for most riders). Did a brief writeup of some of the downsides of its design at http://store.quietrush.com.au/blog/des...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

A while back, Like 200 pages back or so, either Quigley of QMS or Quiet Rush had recommended a Brookes Saddle for those didn't like the stock set up. Last week I went for a 61 mile ride using just over 1100 wh. My ass was sore. So I bought a Brookes saddle remembering one of the above guys recommen...

Good to see you join in the discussions StealthUK, hope you also remember to go and create a profile in the Stealth Forum as well. Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hey Guys, Kind of an off topic post but figured I'd give the Stealth community first dibs. So I've been riding my Bomber for almost 2 years and loving the entire experience. I find a lot of the die-hards are pretty technical I'm doing some consulting for an agency in Toronto, Canada and I need to f...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

As for the performance, watch the first few seconds of this video of mine from an EV race last year. The yellow stealth fighter and my bike (the white one that races ahead at the start) are both using the same motor with this mystical 40mm stator that HPC are also using. Are you may be able to dete...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

It also helps to think about the natural target market these guys are aiming for, megacities in Asia where they're choking in pollution. The scooter is already well established as a preferred transport mode there, with lots of people selling petrol by a litre bottle at a time in an unregulated indus...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Nice work Emmett, interesting to see what you've opted to do with the suspension upgrades. Who did the USD custom tune? Looks like you're in some great riding country there, nice mix of sandstone, sandy trail and rocky ledges. Reminds me of some great MTB single track in the Illawarra and blue mount...
