Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Can anyone tell me the sort/strength/Ampage of solar power I will need whilst boondocking to charge the Bombers? Thanks! Yep, see here: http://store.quietrush.com.au/1/post/2014/02/goal-zero-providing-portable-solar-power-for-quiet-rush-ebikes.html and http://store.quietrush.com.au/1/post/2013/08/e...

See that the handles are missing on top? They went to the controller mounting. Mac's are great, nice thick aluminum :) DSC02921.JPG Sacre'Bleu! You savage, messing with a Mac Pro like that..surely you had other aluminium sources at hand? I hear fanbois teeth gnashing already..but the end result loo...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Nice pic! Now you know this makes you a clear candidate for coming up to the EV Festival for a lap or two, since I've got a hunch I know some of the owners of those Bombers..

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Easier to see figures on handlebars, but it looks way more bulkier :( When the handlebars are clean it feels more like a regular pedal bike, not so with a bunch of stuff on handlebars. Also a lot easier to wreck your display when you stack it off road - bear in mind that this is the original design...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Those are some pretty impressive ranges you're getting CD. Love to hear more from folks riding with theirs using the limiter, as range is sometimes more important than outright adrenaline and I know they're capable of some good range with efficient riding. Even better, strap on a heart rate monitor ...

Time for a bit more Aussie riding excellence.. this time, Jack Field, Freestyle Trials Champ, turning a Stealth Hurricane inside out and round about on his farm. 3Zw6hp7SFic Great to see Jack giving it a go and building on the first taste of my Fighter at Royal Easter Show 2012. Just in case anyone was wondering what a wold champ BMX/4x rider would do if placed onto a Stealth Bomber.. Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
TV, until you actually take the time to throw the razorbacks on and give that bike of yours a thrashing on some dirt, no-one is going to take your comment seriously about limited off-road capability - it's just pure armchair speculation and pot stirring...hell, just take it out as it is and get thos...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Good to see the solar question coming up and to hear how others are also approaching it. I've used a couple of options, the first was a DIY setup in my bus, using Jaycar components to put in place a 150Ah slimline battery and 1500W charger/inverter to drive the Stealth chargers. I did a brief writeu...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
I've been revising the design of my lighting systems a bit as well, wanted to create a new camera mount platform that can accept a stick-on GoPro mount, so we can get some variety in POV shots. Have put a couple of sample images up in the gallery at http://store.quietrush.com.au/lights.html Here's a...

What are your thoughts on these Fox forks? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxCELXCde18&feature=youtube_gdata_player IMO, the BEST out there, and the most expensive! Yep, they're nice. Personally, I'm keeping a close watch on the development of the inverted forks from these guys: http://www.dvos...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
On the road this morning about to deliver Bomber 413 to one excited owner - very nicely specced. Theodore, the crates are designed solid. Stick with just undoing the screws..no pry bar needed. Just be careful lifting it out of the crate, its a heavy/awkward lift. I typically lay mine over or seek ex...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Mounting Mousse tube has never been an easy. I used a ton of tire greese and 3 levers that had 20" long handles and a wheel holder which wont work for our hub motors, even then it was a pain in the ass with a capital "A". Mousse dont ever flat, the other good thing about Mousse tubes...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Probably not pratical, but would be awesome if the jacket could hold the charger or some bike tools. Right now I wear a 661 DH spinal and chest vest, be great to have built in protection and perhaps some reflection. The spinal protection would make whatever is on the outside feel a lot lighter. My ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Not that I'm confusing Harley for Stealth, I know Stealth is tiny, and they don't even have T-shirts available, or do they? What about Dealer T-shirts? Even one of those would be nice, if it says Stealth on it. I'm pretty sure where I bought mine, they don't have any. A jacket would be nicer. Is th...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
There were certainly some steep bits in there, stuff which I'd have struggled with on my MTB OR a dirt bike. What was interesting to me was the extent to which the Fighter was an enjoyable midpoint between the two. There is some more footage of the ride which I'll save for another time, but getting ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
What alot of people don't understand is if the rider is willing to help a little bit with pedal effort, the Bomber and Fighter can climb some steep stuff pretty well. Exactly. You can climb some surprisingly steep stuff. If I'd had the lower gearing available in the Bomber, I may have made it up a ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
I'm not the least bit interested in any electric motorcycle, but an electric bicycle has great appeal to me. None of my friends understand why I would want one at all. They're all still stuck in 180 mph mode, but I've gone back to my roots and loving it. ..the Bomber is a great dirt bike. It works ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Thanks for those considered comments Rix, agree, sad for the young guys family, but seriously, no helmet/no lights/riding at night? Crazy stuff. Worth noting it was a motorised bicycle AFAIK, not an eBike, but our Australian legislators are unlikely to differentiate. On another note, I've got a guy ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
You would be better off replacing it. +1 here but I'd recommend staying with current spec rim, I know Stealth have put a LOT of R&D time into wheel component optimisation. Keeps things simple - but I recognise the bespoke path can be fun if you've got the time, cash and patience to work the pro...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
That looks like a good light with a useful light pattern. Personally I'd like a light that runs off the bikes main battery to simplify charging, as long as it doesn't draw too much current. I'm not in love with the mount either. I think it would look better with motorcycle style fork ears. I consid...
