*SOLD* q100 26" rear motor and kit pieces - $79

I have a 26" Q100 rear motor (the 36V 20-ish mph version), still new and in the box that has been sitting in the corner of my room for like 2 years now waiting to finally see the light of day. It comes with everything you need except battery and controller (comes with throttle, display, hall se...

No spotwelding DIY battery kits - 36V 20AH & 48V 20AH

Hi guys, You might remember a kickstarter I ran a couple months ago for my battery building kits. I have a small production ready ready. I went with only the 36V and 48V 20AH kits for starters, as those were the most popular ones by far. I also dropped the kit prices to $369 and $469 for the 36V and...

Re: DIY Lithium Batteries: How to Build Your Own Battery Pac

Thanks for posting this! This is my book, and I hope that anyone who wants to check it out will enjoy it. So far I've heard great responses from the initial readers, and you can see it's already got very nice feedback on Amazon. I set the price really low (99 cents for the ebook) for a few days so t...

Just finished a DIY lithium battery book

I've been working on writing a book detailing the process of building DIY batteries for a long time, and I've finally finished it. Below are some pictures from the contents. I just got it listed on Amazon and wanted to make a free download coupon for the ebook version to give to the ES community and...

Re: No One Gives A Rat’s Ass

I think it would be ultra cool to have a 10A or 15A discharge can in the 4.5 or 5Ah range, That sounds like a 26650 cell to me. Or Tesla/Panasonic's new 2170 cell. I'm not sure what the final AH rating on it is, but it's right around that level. Not sure about the discharge rate, but 2C would give ...

Re: 1s6p Panasonic NCR18650B 20.4AH modules $23

Hi, shipping to Canada would be $86 for 20 units. I know that's kind of high, but that's what my shipper quoted me :(
Weight seems to be factored into the cost less as weight increases. Twice the number of modules only adds like $20 to the shipping...

What is the Width , and Thickness of the Nickel Strip used on these ? Why are you giving up on this ? There are many of us that want a Build it yourself battery pack, next time, make the packs in such a way so that we can plug them together, Meaning already Soldered on Balance Wires, and BMS with q...

Re: Just received a 48V pack from Aliexpress. Did I get bone

I know I'm late to the game, but somehow I just found this thread. I'm really sorry to hear about your misfortune with the battery! When I ordered it for a friend's build, it was a genuine pack, though that was nearly a year ago I think. It seems the vendor has changed the product details on the pag...

Re: 1s6p Panasonic NCR18650B 20.4AH modules $23

That equals extra long range. and an extra long board  Do they make long board limo's? I believe Tesla is using these cells (NCR18650b) up through the model S line, and is now switching over to their new cells they've codesigned with panasonic in the new 21700 size. From what I can tell, it's ...

1s6p Panasonic NCR18650B 20.4AH modules $23

You guys might remember my Kickstarter for a battery building kit from about 6 weeks ago. When I thought I had a good idea, and because 18650B cells were becoming harder to source, I invested in a pile of professionally welded modules. Then my Kickstarter didn't succeed and now I'm sitting on a pile...

Panasonic (and Sanyo) cells already have a plastic insulation washer between the heat shrink an...

November 11th is Singles Day in China, their national holiday (and also a time to celebrate being single... it's an interesting culture!) Re: video - How To Increase Battery Pack Voltage

Thanks, Redilast. Yes I've heard from a few people that they prefer the solder first, spot weld second method. For me I've just always done it this way and it feels more comfortable. I'm also not the world's best solder-er and I worry that if I don't keep my solder blob small enough then I won't hav...
