Re: Custom frame cargo bike thread

I haven't got the BMS yet, it's in post. I have the design in my head, i am not that good with solidworks, like to play with stuff in my hand and see how it feels/looks. I will be doing a sketch when i have rear wheel assembly, seat, batteries and all electronics at hand. There is no rush for me any...

Re: Custom frame cargo bike thread

It is the coolest looking BMS I have ever seen. Can you give more info about? Nice part choice and cargo bike with optional seats is even better. Here is the spec. sheet for 100A output one: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B56NVZIdTBFONWJmM2QyNGYtMDFmZS00NjZkLWI3NjYtNDQyMjkzMzliZTlm , you can find...

Custom frame, full suspension cargo bike thread

Hi, thought i will start a thread and put some info on the build, ask questions on the build as i go along. Better bit by bit than the whole thing at once i guess. This is my first build and a lot to learn, lots to discover. My idea is to build a cargo bike with interchangeable platform at the front...

Re: A123 from China. C and avoid

If you want a cell-level HVC/LVC monitoring, without all the balancing and stuff, Methods has one you can build into the packs themselves, becuase it uses so little power (especially compared to any other monitoring system I'm aware of). Currently it's setup for RC LiPo/LiCo levels, so you'd need a...

http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=26554 Don't really think you can beat that one/ Cash it cost/vs performance = win win. It looks like a lot of work gone in making that BMS. The only down side is you have to assemble it your self which for me would go wrong somewhere along the l...

Re: A123 from China. C and avoid

VMS does not have LVC no HVC . Insted it has LVoltage warning buzzer and HVoltage warning buzzer, quite loud I can tell you. You must remember that LVC cutting off device like Mosfet or FET have resistance when it conduct battery current, low but it has. It is a loss.I prefer to have a buzzer and c...

Re: A123 from China. C and avoid

Yeah, he developed them with LiFePO4 TS cells in mind, but I use them on my A123 pouches and they work just fine. Thanks. They look a bit bulky. What sort of money did you paid for the modules and control unit? If i decided to go this way i would go for the BMS which is developed back home http://w...

Thanks. Were you referring to this company: www.ev-power.com.au ? I looked through their website but they are aimed to large lipo applications the cell size starting 40AH. Also cell modules would be hard to mount.

Re: Between Car and Bike, a New Electric Trike

what a load of crap this is. they dont even need any money for preordering the thing. 3400USD? doubt it very much. when you take in to account all the bits and peaces, you cant make a decent bike for that much. 30 miles range, he ment going 5m on electrics and the rest 25- human power, flinsones style
