Re: bluetooth BMS?

BTW, what with the odd and even cell balancing? Does it do all cells eventually by balancing odd then even cells?
When it balances, to what voltage it does that? To lowest cell if its constant balancing?
Would it be better so set it to balance when on charger, off charger or both?

Ok. Giving another shot. Have 2 batteries, 20S and 10S. Questions if i mey: How do you hook up 10S battery to 15S bms? Just skip all the remaining connections ? Can someone link me to a page with correct settings for these units? I stopped at page 15, too much for me :) I will have relay connected ...

Unless its programmable you cant. It will constantly be in fault mode.
I have the same unit talked about in this thread. With bluetooth etc etc.
So yes, programmable.

Revived my project as family needs transportation for summer, going to lakes etc. This has removable box deck so i can mount what i want. Had no time to finish cadilac style big one so made smaller one just for time being. It runs vented x5303 with kls-7230s. I have a lot of parts 3d printed. Its a ...

Re: Solderless weldless 36V battery could do 200A

I'm really digging this design, and i can print my own cases thanks to your guide, but getting the metal tabs is the challenge. Are you able to sell just the 8p tabs in bulk? I can get the hardware (nuts, screws, etc) here in the USA, so i won't need the entire hardware kit. I didn't see tabs in bu...

Re: Solderless weldless 36V battery could do 200A

All I see in the Daly results are multi-port boards, what we usually call BMS. I assumed you meant the per-cell modules, where each protects one cell? Could you link to the specific one you ordered? Besides the current, what led you to choose it, as opposed to the others available? And is there a p...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

Whenever not cycling, bring to storage SoC and isolate the cells from everything, including BMS. In any case check on them at least every few weeks, more frequently at first, then scale back as you see what self discharge actually is. Just forgetting about them is not an option, maybe not as bad as...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

It was 20S6P battery. I assumed all was good and left it for 3 months. It should not be the practice for the hardware to malfunction or bad design. You should not seitch off bms, its added complexity. You will forget to do it eventually. Further more there should be notes on such conditions but what...

Re: Solderless weldless 36V battery could do 200A

I tend to agree to disagree  The good thing about PCM's is that its blunt as a boot so not too much that could go wrong with the hardware. I had one running for 7 years balancing and charging cells. I have destroyed that pack on vacation when my 43.8V charger died and i took 54V with me and my ...

Re: Is PCM good enough to replace BMS?

Re: Solderless weldless 36V battery could do 200A

Is that like a subset of BMS functionality? Link? According to the crowd, its bms but majority of the stuff people use is pcm, protection circuit module. It does balancing at hard preset value, does over current, under discharge and suposedly overcharge. Some does single or 2 point temp protection....
