Re: New weldless battery system crowdfunfing project

vruzend is a flawed concept with no regard for safety. that is simply the end of the story. anything less then spotwelding is a compromise in safety and reliabliity. I agree that vruzend is bad design and 2 majotlr flaws i outlined to them which they dismissed. Saying that anything less than spotwe...

Re: N.E.S.E. the no solder module

What would you estimate that a reasonable continuous amperage per individual cell connection / per module would be with 21700's? I'm imagining that these kinds of cells have a larger surface area and the resulting cell holder will probably take more amps than the 18650 holder.. I may sign up to be ...

Re: Baker electric car info

30" X 3" would be the outside diameter. Generally on old cars like that you figure rim size by (Tire size - (width X 2)). so it would be a 24" rim. And that would be a bike equivalence of a 28" rim, which is called a 29er for off road and fat tires. (both are 700c size) A 29er with a 3" fat tire wo...

Looks like there's a lot of versions, so it depends on which one you're emulating https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&q=Baker+electric+car&tbm=isch https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_Motor_Vehicle A little bit of info from a quick google, dunno if it's stuff you already have: https://cplorg....

Baker electric car info

I really like that vintage electric car and i thought i would try and build something sijilar to that shape. Our laws allow for motors up to 1kw and speeds up to 25kmh and we are not limited to 3 wheels like US is as farvas i know. Perhaps some here has seen or have some info on Baker electric car s...

So i have my pack hooke up and sitting on a charger and i just dont understand how this works. Initially i have set start balance at 3900mV but it just sits and drains the cells. Now i have set it to 4180mV to see if it balances. On PC app the ok on balance graph does not light up so is it still bal...

I got it sorted for now and i dont know what i did to fix it. "Pedel error" is reported on pc or android app. I could not find it either in pdf. I have calculated the values of of the throttle output, 47 low 216 high. On russian video he says to divide by 2.55 and then add or subtract 6 for the erro...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

BTW, what with the odd and even cell balancing? Does it do all cells eventually by balancing odd then even cells?
When it balances, to what voltage it does that? To lowest cell if its constant balancing?
Would it be better so set it to balance when on charger, off charger or both?

I'm really digging this design, and i can print my own cases thanks to your guide, but getting the metal tabs is the challenge. Are you able to sell just the 8p tabs in bulk? I can get the hardware (nuts, screws, etc) here in the USA, so i won't need the entire hardware kit. I didn't see tabs in bu...
