Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Nice vids Allex. I see you don't need the runway but I'd go with some speed rated tires and airbag suit for at those speeds

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Probably because it's a common nominal pack voltage like 36V, 48V, 72V etc. People who may not be familiar with the Bomber might assume it's 72V....actually 80V is more accurate.

Re: Haibike Carbon E-MTB

That last one just sold for $2850.. I do hope these are genuine , or somebody is in for a big Paypay dispute session. How/why is someone apparently based in Latvia, selling an item that is listed as being located in Melbourne ? Maybe one of our members knows who bought this ?? $2,850...Latvia...goo...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Good advice re the CA LVC though I think the best rule of thumb is don't discharge beyond 20% or ~14.5Ah for enduring pack longevity.

Re: Haibike Carbon E-MTB

Yeah I think it fits the definition of vapourware in the mould of the Audi e-bike...except that it's Haibike and that makes it far more likely to be headed for production in 2015 as they say. Not to say I wouldn't like to ride one but going by the current lineup, they're likely to cost north of €7K,...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Should have known :D

I know a disused runway in Latvia (Jelgava), that would be a great spot to shoot some high speed vids on your way home

Re: My Stealth Bomber - now with 130km range

Maybe there are some steep firetrails or other backroads to be found in the Blue Mountains. Otherwise traffic isn't always the best especially on weekends. There is Barrengarry Mountain, a bit more than an hour away, starting from Kangaroo Valley, the ascent is 6.3 km long, climbing 536m. Average is...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Real nice vid there Rick. Shows the amazing variety of trails you ride in your area though looking at the map, Schafer Butte is a long drive from home. Never been to Idaho but looks like trail heaven to me, closest I've been is the Eldorado National Forest & Tahoe...beautiful area. Keep 'em coming! ...

Another big climb not far from Sydney, Macquarie Pass near Albion Park.

Around 8km, 620m ascent. Yellow on the profile is greater than 10%, red is greater than 15%, maximum is 18%.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

..Now I'm taking the small bumps and pot holes in order to maximize range efficiency.... On average I'm doing 110 to 200 km almost everyday except if it's a rainy day. If it's maximum range efficiency you're looking for on 70% asphalt, I'd get lower rolling resistance tires like the Thick Bricks an...

These Hookworm style tires wouldn't be my choice but at that price, you could buy a bunch and replace them regularly. http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/24-x-3-electric-bicycle-tire-cruiser-street-tread-rear.html 24-x3-tire-with-street-cruiser-tread-for-izip-electric-bikes-3.jpg [Edit] Just noticed,...

Sig definitely check out Tulloch and let us know what you think. I haven't ridden any roads around Lithgow but it sounds brutal...in any case I think you'll be able to eat up serious mountains with your rig...let alone steep hills that we've got here. I sold the OB1 but I still have an older one in ...

Re: My Stealth Bomber - now with 130km range

Mt Tennant looks nasty especially with the loose gravel & steep grades. Pretty sure Tulloch would smoke most hubs too even though it's not as long, at it's steepest stretch it's 20% average for a kilometre, can't exactly recall the maximum but I think it was around 30% at one point. Coming back down...
