Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Just came back from another short burst on the Fighter and found out that my regen actually does work. I thought it was broken but it isn't...it's just that the new pack has such little sag that it took 22 km before the voltage dropped below 56V, enough for regen to kick in. Jaw dropping.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Some more FYI - I just got a new pack and so reset my CA...had a look and have travelled exactly 60 miles since. That was 3 recharge cycles, used 35 Ah, unrestricted Amps at an average speed of 25 mph over hilly terrain without using regen (I need a new button). I should clarify & emphasise that th...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Fix, Thanks for the reply. I probably could have found a better place to ask the questions. I don't think so...Rick (Fix) :) is undoubtedly the best man to answer these questions...he's owned both CA type and DC1 type...and the difference between them is pretty interesting! I think the thermal roll...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Some really nice Bomber pics...mine (#34) isn't quite so sparkling but has more intricate layers of dust. Funny I still have so many people engaging me in discussion about it...most days usually a 5, 10 even 20 minute conversation from interested people. Today it was 2 lasting about 20 minutes...I w...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Definitely agree, in terms of the selection quality of suspension, batteries and many other components, these are more examples of the evolutionary development in Stealth bikes. So starting out revolutionary those years ago for a new type of off-road bike then evolving into the more refined machine ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Steve I think you've got 3 options: 1. Limit your power to 5 Amps, pedal hard and you'll probably make it depending on the terrain. 2. Take your charger & charge wherever you can around the halfway point, or 3. Take a second battery. I'd go for #1 or 2, well you'll be taking the charger in any case....

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Yes something isn't right. My vintage Bomber is way quicker than that. It's hopefully just a setting. In any case, I'd contact Stealth, the DC1 apparently has diagnostic codes which helps them identify problems quickly. Should add, mine's a stock 5404 so will accelerate quicker than a stock 5403, bu...

Re: Smallest motor for folding bike

Probably vivax assist...but your seat tube needs to be long & wide enough http://vivax-assist.com/en/produkte/vivax-assist-4-0/vivax-assist_4-0.html Sophisticated motor power is hidden in the bike‘s seat tube. It only weights 1.8 kg (inkl. battery). Press the button and the motor delivers 200 watts ...

Exactly Rick, all those other bits are just candles on the cake which we all replace or accumulate from year to year while trying to pretend the oldest ones never existed cos they burnt out. No big deal putting new candles on it.

I was fully cloaked, and Stealthy. And there in lies one of your biggest risks. Even if you don't crash yourself your chances of getting cleaned up by a car on your invisible bike are right up there. Exactly, on one occasion it was blowing gale force plus. Riding the 7 miles back home into that headwind really sucked but was worth it for that super fast tailwind leg. BTW my beach rides weren't on a Stealth  I am definitely both interested and intrigued by what you may or may not have seen.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Assuming reasonably flat terrain and negligible wind conditions, probably around 40mph & maybe 20 miles according to http://www.ebikes.ca/tools/simulator.html

Though I suspect it might actually go a bit faster & longer than that because of the secret Stealth sauce
