Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thanks Hyena You are right my cycle analyst v3 does say prelim when it boots up. I have tryed to make changes in the setup but it won't let me modify any of the parameters it just says "ok" when I try. I will take the bike Grin tomorrow and maybe I can purchase a sync cable from them. The bike didn...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

A small top up charge is one cycle. The same as a full charge. I agree with everything except this. Cycle life is relative to DOD - Depth of Discharge & charge current. anything you do to bring down the draw current, charge current, and dod from what is rated will give you more cycles out of your p...

Can't find the sizes but you have the originals & McMaster has it all.

You could always ask Stealth. They can advise on sizes.

You must be heavy? Tried to adjust the spring? Well there goes my self image. Looks like I'm back to my diet of bear claws and deep fried turkey loaf. :( Heavy?.. Hell yea I'm heavy from the waist down to mid thigh!!! Booosh! Actually I weigh 165 but thanks for the kind and encouraging words Hehe t...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Pretty sure stock Fighters are 4065's. I have a 4080 with similar top speed to Rick's bike - around 43 mph. I agree that the 4065 is best for trails, especially climbs. I remember riding a local trail a while back where I hit a steep, rocky climb. No way the 4080 was going to make it so I pushed it ...

I usually flip the bike especially after a flat on a trail somewhere miles away. It's also easier to adjust chain tension & alignment flipped.

No petaling at higher speeds is unfortunate and may be a deal breaker.
You need a Bomber. You can go 25 miles on a Fighter sure but the Bomber will be better for day in day out 25 mile commutes and in top gear you can pedal all you want, even at maximum speed.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

All of this in 5 and a half months of actual riding. I had no idea. Thinking back, of all the issues on your list, in over 4 years on 2 bikes, I've only ever experienced the flats...a handful including 2 memorable gut busters kinda like a combined marathon walk / weightlifting event. I thin...

Wow that looks like it could have been a nasty scenario. You have had more issues than I will have forever. I can't remember my last showstopper it was that long ago. Are you a heavyweight? I'm a middleweight so that could explain it. BTW here's the new Stealth website http://www.stealthelectricbike...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Rick I can see emerging awesomeness in your vids...yes editing is the most time consuming and usually laborious part of the process but it is as important as shooting. If I could offer something, trim your in and out points to the beginning and end of the points that you're largely in frame or maybe...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Yes Rick the factory 40's are overkill and definitely too pricey. They now have the 40 R listed on Jenson USA for $699 which seems a lot more reasonable, maybe even good value except that there's no low/high speed compression adjustment. 888's are a similar price or less from memory so yes the Marzo...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I think Marzo & WB are both very good options but if you want really plush, go with one of the Fox 40 models. When I put mine on, there was only the high-end factory model but now there are 3 models to choose from, Factory, Performance & Stealth Can't offer much on the rear shock, I'm still using th...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Congrats QR, that's impressive up against serious competition, the Fighter wins. So what was the decisive winning factor I wonder? Must be skill, manoeuvrability and/or factory reliability. Don't think it was outright power and not expecting you to nominate your own skills even though that must be a...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Since nobody else is reporting failure of these bearings on their bike, I think we can assume this bearing probably had a manufacturing defect. I wasn't replacing the bearings I did for the fun of it. They where stuffed! Chinese 6808's in Sydney cost $8.80 each. Is that formerly MexicanBatman's Bom...

Maybe because it's one of the few places where you can do 200 kph on an e-bike but yes Dainese and Shinko should be your guardians.
