i'm on it greg. i'm gonna try "balanced" mode and see what upping the motor current will do...just bought a cromo v3 and a 19"x1.85 prowheel http://www.prowheelracing.com/big-bike-rear-rim-1-85-x-19-blue/ GOT IT FOR $35 on ebay!!!! WOOHOO!!!! If that doesn't work, use Zombiess thrott...
i mentioned that my GT was 75 lbs and the dh comp was 92lbs(?). he said his raptor was only 75 lbs. i laughed and brought down the bathroom scale... : Add another 5 or so pounds for the 4080 8) Is that thing state side, at the very least? It would be pretty cool to see a cromotor racing a 4080 some...
While I was out, I snapped this shot. That's a normal sized 26" full suspension bike next to the Monster. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l130/geijin/Monster/IMG_20130925_130834_zpsbd1ddff1.jpg Hey skunk, just found this thread - Great build, I particularly like the size comparison shot... :...
so i fixed axel's 9C (replaced two halls) and tested it out and thought the phases were blown cause of how much noise it made.... phases tested out fine with the ebike tester, and then i took it for a longer ride and the noise went away above 10 mph or so, and i remembered, that's how it sounded! w...
As regards to the price. I sold my 3540 for $200 plus shipping in almost new condition. You got pretty hammered for the price you payed versus what you actually got.
If it works, I would say just use it.
^
Good call with taking him back home. I thought Greg crashed and you guys went straight back home to go to the hospital.
Good call and way to keep yourself together throughout the entire process
Ironic Greg... I remember everything hyena says. i never forget anything. and my memory is 100% flawless. i remember every car i pass, and at exactly what speed. and if a leaf was falling in my peripheral vision. GC-stack.JPG all the best man, I hope your neck feels better soon. That's very clever!...
I think you can do it rather easily with Three wheel drive  . Have the cromotor in the back and two hs3548s in the front. There was a guy who had a dual 3540 setup and ran around 132v of battery. His acceleration was super quick for two light motors putting out huge amounts of power. He dra...
You haven't updated your thread in a while. jeez, trackmarks, can't a guy take his gopro to have some time with his family? No :D . Geez you didn't know you sold your life away when you signed up on the forum? :P Thanks for the vids. I appreciate it. in other news, my hs4080 is soon to arrive. i ju...
You haven't updated your thread in a while. . I hope you are still in good health and commuting like a maniac?
Whats the plan with the 4080? I honestly can't wait until you get that motor. You will love it, I guarantee it.
Nice and clean build. Reminds me of my first bike but yours looks much better
Drawing 50 amps from a 3aH lipo battery is just asking for some sort of trouble
Your pack is going to deteriorate rather quickly t those settings.
Good idea.
Another thing you can do is set the Low voltage limit to well above your pack voltage. The CA will now not let any throttle input drive the bike. That works with my CA V2.23, bet it's the same story for the V3 CA.
Oh man. Just read your story. What a bummer man. I found that when I tried to show off on the bike, something bad/unusual always happens. So I learned to try and never do anything out of the normal routine because the bike won't like it.... For what ever reason. Hope you feel better mate. I'm surpri...
You seem extra pissed on the return commute with your sporadic turns and what not. Just wanted to get home on a Friday and burn the paycheck?
Is it me or is your fork sounding a little better?
Yes, only sell your bike if you have plans for a newer and better build. Otherwise you could go by the way side for years before you have an Ebike again. Good luck in school Rick Yeah very true and valid point. WIll only sell the bike if I need a good chunk of money. In the mean time, this thread w...
Just got to get creative with the torque arm on the other side. This may involve cutting some extra steel flat bars and custom bending them to attach to the frame and the torque arm handle, but it can be done. Jay and I fudged my dads on his conversion and it worked great. Rick I actually don't thi...
Can you give us some pics of the welding and cutting of aluminum?
I just bought a Big Hit for this very same purpose.
Looks very nice and clean, doesn't look like there is a lot of room for the batteries though.
I think you are super ambitious with the CF after the fiberglass box was kicked. I don't thing a heating pads are way to go man. Especially with them being so close to the batteries, god forbid something went wrong. I would get a decently sized blanket and just lay the entire thing over the frame af...
Are you getting the new motor sometime soon? hopefully. they said the first week of september but there may have been some snaggles. will come laced but i'll have to dish, or relace which would take an ebike minute (month) lol. it's an h4080 btw When I ordered my motor things went well. T...
i think only trackman watches these anymore, but here's another. Thanks Uncle Greg  Looks like you are really killing your batteries man. Nice way to break them in. I would be pulling another buy order for some more batteries in a month or two if you keep this up :P . Looks like you are re...
