Re: Qulbix, was Torque Raptor ebike + frame kit

There is a lot of pressure on me here if you guys are going to change out your already bought tire. You bet there is! :pancake: We are many thousands of miles away from wearing out our new rubber, not to mention the custom mx wheels that we either built ourselves or paid others to build for us. I f...

Re: Organic Transit gearing up-hires Ford Exec

So many ideas with merit Organic is trying to crowd out. Thanks for the vids. You've shown a variety of sizes and styles. Not everyone wants a low seating position. Organic Transit is but another one in the mix. Variety is good which means that different technologies and ideas are explored. Nobody'...

Re: Organic Transit gearing up-hires Ford Exec

People who are visionary and who dare to break away from the herd mentality are always assailed by the arm chair critics who don't build anything themselves and can't offer up their own alternative vision. The only way to differentiate between that scenario and one where the same invention is the p...

... I have ran the 19, 17, and 18 Mc wheels on the Bomber, in that order, with around 20 or so different tires. If you got a question about MC wheels and rims, I might be able to answer it. Rix you are a wealth of knowledge on this. Your contributions are much appreciated. Have you ever considered ...

Re: Organic Transit gearing up-hires Ford Exec

The ill conceived product that puts people off is a hinderance, not a betterment of the market. Well its not my cup of tea, none the less I appreciate those who are contributing their ideas to the transportation mix. I don't envision this approaching mass production, but even if it did, and the sec...

Re: What tire can cope the ebike punishment?

The original question was mostly for durability, loadability and puncture resistance,... required for heavier rolling resistance with the motorcycle/moped tires. Don't count out mx wheels and tires. Many on the forum who have converted swear that flats are a thing of the past. While some get enthuse...

Re: Sick of Chinese junk

What strikes me when watching videos of the traffic in China and the far east in general, is the overwhelming quantity of light weight electric scooters and e-bikes. Here's an example of selling new units in the Philippines. It has all the trappings of a North American car dealership. All shiny and ...

Re: Organic Transit gearing up-hires Ford Exec

That thing is so stupid. Where can you drive it? On the roads blocking traffic? $5k is a waste of money for this thing. For under $2k you can build a really awesome looking recumbent. Generally I tend to agree. Its not something I would spend $5k on. But it does fill in a certain gap in the transit...

Re: Making a light weight electric car

This is part of the ebike@technocopia.org endeavour to spark a local transportation paradigm shift (see below). One of the participants would like an enclosed, car-like experience. Understandable, we live in wet & often cold New England. Primary transportation for many will mean some protection fro...

How old is it? Reason I ask, some states only require a hand written bill of sale to get it registered if it is of a certain age. i think it is 15 years here in Vermont.

Harley crowd are a bunch of me-too's, so now that EV's are approved by the brand they are free to express interest. Social conditioning. Group identification. I recently witnessed a group of Harleys go through downtown. You could hear them approaching 1 mile away. Same black attire. Same scowling f...

wiring hs3540 to 18 fet 4115, 60-120V Infineon Controller

I recently upgraded to a 18 fet 4115, 60-120V Infineon Controller purchased from Cellman. I currently have run through all 36 hall/phase combinations, but the best i can get is a loud rattling vibration from the motor with no movement from 4 combos. This motor ran fine on the previous 40 amp control...

Well an interesting project. But have you thought at all about metal fatigue? Your asking 66 year old metal to suddenly be able to handle forces that it was never designed for even when new. Take a look at some of the frame up builds that are being discussed here. Note that they are all starting wit...
