IMG_20141209_185229[1].jpg Neat build, I like the black on black. Also, Ohyzee's Phasor looks wicked. Have you heard from him? I haven't seen him post anything on the Phasor thread in ages. Kent post some pics of your "Jeep" Ebike. Animalector, very nice Borg there. Yeah, I am on hold waiting on my...

Re: gas price thread

Unfortunately, many will breath a sigh of relief as they go back to the wasteful habits of a decade ago. More gas guzzling monstrosities. More empty 5000 lb V-10 pickups driving to the store for a box of beer. As much as I hate oil companies, one benefit of high gas prices was that it forced many to...

Thanks for sharing your trip and turning us on to the VW Electric. Could you post some photos of the battery pack and drive-train? That would be great. I am looking to get a production run of MXUS 3000W 45mm DD Hub Motors made, with Lacing in Downhill Bicycle Rims for the USA market. I would like to know how you plan to use the motor/rim. Well good luck with it. I hope that you will distinguish yourself from the others by venturing off the beaten ...

Hey guys curious what you think of using the Grin C7240-NC controller with this Motor? it puts out 40 amps... Do you feel the 20s lipo would be a good fit? or should I head in the direction of a bit more amps? (or volts) Any input on a good controller for the 3000 would be helpful. I have a V-2 on ...

Re: What is Holding E-Bikes Back

Right now, the general motoring public views us as quaint eccentrics. Sure they'll nod their heads approvingly when chatting it up at the supermarket or wherever. But their conditioned SUV lifestyle isn't gong to change without skyrocketing gas prices. For those of us in the western lifestyle, chang...

50 Things You'll Never Get to do w. an Electric Motorcycle

by Nigel Morris Renew Economy Most of you are painfully aware that I have spent the last two years riding a 100% electric motorcycle, in my case a 2010 Zero DS. It’s true, I’m a little obsessed and not just because I’ve always liked riding bikes. For me, the real revelation is that an electric moto...

If you prefer to use a DIY temp display, just pop the side cover, clip leads and solder in the sensor of choice (eg resect and transplant the BBQ sensor that you indicated). Leave the original temp sensor in place and epoxy down the new one with JB Weld. Easy peasy. Thanks but...Well this is what I...

Yes, it will work fine w/o CA mods. Configure it as a PTC type device. Use the values in this document KTY-83 series and follow the example for the similar KTY-81/210 in section "5.7 Temperature Sensor" of the Guide . On a related topic, and for those who are running older versions of the CA, what ...

now that's funny...... I'm now past the stage of "but honey I'm saving money!!!" I do want to remove the 32 mph speed limitation on the BBS02. I've seen posts for reprogramming the unit. What's the best spot to tap into the wiring? I'm assuming the logic circuitry is in the BBS02 unit itself?...

Re: MXUS 3000 - Cromotor Mini

Life's full of tradeoffs; yes I have hills and traffic lights but I also have lots of long flat stretches with relatively few lights. I am happy with the 4x15 winding we have ordered. Also, there are other easy ways to increase torque such as feeding the motor more amps and going to a smaller diame...
