Re: MXUS 3000 - Cromotor Mini

II've got a group of 50 or so kits coming in via sea mail to the US in December, . So since you are experienced at this, could you give us a ball park on what our costs may be for shipping and duty if any for 20 units shipped to mid USA? Are there shipping options for orders of this size such as sl...

Re: MXUS 3000 - Cromotor Mini

How long are the axles? If this thing will fit well in 150mm dropouts I might be interested. Going by the reply I received-see above-it looks like they are short on details. It's probably a salesperson who has no involvement in the manufacturing and has no technical knowledge. His job is to drum up...

Re: MXUS 3000 - Cromotor Mini

What you get is high efficiency and high power within limits, low weight, at the disadvantage of not being able to beat on it as long. Just like the crystalyte H35/H40 series. Same idea. It'd probably be happy being pushed at 5000w intermittently but not constantly. The first tester did a fairly go...

Re: MXUS 3000 - Cromotor Mini

I agree that someone mid-country would be best for the group buy. I hate double shipping costs. In my case, being on the East Coast I am not a good candidate. I simply wrote them to get a ball park on costs-if they reply. But if we order bare motors, how many of us who are not interested in building...

1st of all congrats! Not many in this day and age can make a living at doing what they love. Hows your patience and people skills? Cause your apparent target audience-the city commuter-definitely doesn't want to get dirty, listen to long winded technical explanations or feel that they are not gettin...

Re: E-Bikers and Dealing with Bicyclists

Agreed. Technically that leaves those with a cycle like frame-not a feet first platform-who travel between 20-30 mph as being either electric mopeds (moped=motor + pedals) or Motor Driven Cycles which is another term for the same thing. But there are so many gray crossover areas now. Personally, I w...

Hi guys I have a 72v 1500w Greentime There is a 6 colored wired JST plug which looks the exact same as on the Infineon controller and Cycle Analyst wires. Has anyone tried plugging a CA in a Greentime controller?? Thx Yes that sounds like it. I had to ask Leo to install the CA wires/plug on my 24 f...

Re: Qulbix Raptor 140

Looks like there will be another option for hubmotors coming out from Crystalyte. The TC40xx series seems the most promising for power, speed, and lightish weight when compared to the Cromo and 54xx. The difference is the flange will use standard spokes, which as we all know, can be laced to MC rim...

Re: convert moped license/registration required?

i was wondering if a an electric moped would required drivers license and registration. my thoughts are to go to a junk yard and get an old moped that the engine is blown and replace the gas engine with cyclone electric motor if that would lighten the moped enough to drop it closer to the weight cl...

I think this is just great. Re: Qulbix, was Torque Raptor ebike + frame kit

Now we know the look that is going to get electric bicycles banned from unregistered use nationwide. Great. If these jackasses would just get moped plates, we wouldn't soon be facing 500W e-bicycles having to be registered and insured. But no, can't do that-- even though they are currently clearly ...
