Re: Newbie First Build from UK

I was reading somewhere on this thread about you needing a decent front suspension for the a 1" steerer. I have two sets of Girvin forks, from you mechanical work you might have an interest in them and they are a 1" steerer. I had them shimed into a 1.125 headset and ive been told by more than a cou...

Re: UK Ebiker riders

I tend to pedal only, if i see a police car, you have to keep your eyes open. I guess i don't commute on mine so most my speeding is off-road and therefore legal. Its just the risk you have to take if you build a bike that is technically illegal and you want to ride it on the road. plus i have a thr...

Re: rode over my lipo battery at wot

so new news. The week before last I was down at my girlfriends farm in Dorset. This seemed a perfect opportunity to meet another UK ES member Burtie. We arranged a ride to a local pub and then went back to his for a BBQ. Pippa and I enjoyed every minute and Burtie was an excellent host. He has also ...

Re: paralleling hobbyking E4 chargers to get 9 amps charge?

I have plenty of 12v power supplies as im selling them here in the UK. I dont know yet whether they are isolated, Im not sure whether just giving it a go is sensible?

The other option i have is charge the 3 3s packs singly but that is a bit of a faff although i have ordered 3 chargers.

that is amazing, so basically he has upgraded away from feathers and beeswax, to carbon fibre and jet packs. Let hope he doesn't become a victim of yves strike.

I think the best way to get high with the electric motors is paragliding.

Re: paralleling hobbyking E4 chargers to get 9 amps charge?

So anyway No one replied and i got impatient. Last night i ordered 3 of the E4 chargers and one battery medic. I figure that between a cellog 8s ton monitor, a battery medic on balance mode and the 3 E4 chargers I will have the 3p3s booster pack charging just less than the 12s3p main pack. total cos...

Sorry Gordo I have to disagree, I've read these whole thread through multiple times if anything pavliks first post was the most helpful after that it was all stuff that doesn't help my goals. The reason I used a pot was to experiment and thank for the hint about 0 resistance I did not realise it. I ...

Just a bump cause I could really do with some help here. Ok went ahead and tried a mod anyway f8rbR7ZE4hw This video is to show my motor working on 12s after adding a 5k pot in parallel with the resistor B from the start of this thread. I thought it would be the easiest to solder to but after this t...

Warning largish post ahead, amazing day today, got to ride in Dorset to a local airfield up a large hill called Winn Green. very steep, went past a couple of lycras on racers on the hill who were left in my dust so to speak. Drain Brain showed 38 Amp max and I saw peaks of 2500w through my cheap GM ...

yes I do, i just made a connector with 3 large seriesed resistors from an old power supply, does the job fine. only running 18s at the moment but should work in theory for higher voltages.

CWAH if you dont mind voiding your warranty try going the bluetooth serial route. its not a difficult hack and means you can connect 2 or more hyperions to a laptop without the worries of blowing any of them up or the laptop. mine works great If you follow the guide from burgerman on wheelchairdrive...
