Lobster powered bike? added bonus dinner after you ride.

Just browsing wired.com and saw this, obviously massively implausible but how about swapping your lipo for a lobster or 40. ethics aside would it even be possible?

Re: DIY cheap charger from balance wires

I just wanted to float an idea, this might be stupid but I thought Id ask anyway. Can these isolated supplies be paralleled to double the amps or even triple. It seems that from the hyena isolated 6s chargers bc168's that balance taps can be used up to 8amps or so. Would the chargers interfere with ...

Re: Running Ebike Southpaw with chain on left side

This is a bit of a guess but i'm thinking that the thread for the screw on block would be the wrong way, but you might be able to weld an old bottom bracket cup which i know do have the correct threads for southpaws to the disc brake side. Then you wouldn't need to make the motor spin in reverse.

what do you think the price will be? I have a 80/100 waiting to be put onto a norco savage. This sounds like a great idea.

nice work Rui, you bike reminds me of one of my first mtbs a muddy fox it had a similar shock in the rear and a curved top bar. Like the matt black look too for the motor, may do that to one of mine.

Re: Doc's ULTIMATE TORQUE ARMS fit most of the frame UPDATE

It is normal that you killed some drill bit since the metal of these torque arms is domex wich is similar to the one used in the tools... and normal quality drill bit ! No prob to drill holes but they must not be too close to the corner of the axel slot. preferably closer to the external diameter. ...

Re: DIY cheap charger from balance wires

The reason the diagram looks wrong Cwah is that you have either one too many or one too few wires in the diagram on each 4s pack 4s packs have one red and one black large wire and 5 balance tap wires which includes typically a different colour at one end to help you know where the hot end is. in you...

Re: Doc's ULTIMATE TORQUE ARMS fit most of the frame UPDATE

Doc, I have a couple of your torque plates on my norco. I used henkel airplane metal epoxy with a similar shear strength to your dp420. Anyway I also drilled a hole in each one and bolted them to the alu frame on the inside. They work amazingly but drilling the hole was a nightmare. I was wondering ...

Addon regen module? Is this possible?

I wanted to see whether anyone knew here if it was possible to have a separate Addon controller which could just do regen to allow us to add regen to a bike which has a controller which only had e-ABS which is not so great. If this is not possible why is it. Currently I have two fully working bikes ...

I have two sets of these forks, one fitted with a spring, one with a fox float shock. Problem for me was the 1 inch steerer. my scott ransom is 1.125 inch and i shimed it and used the 1.125 head set. not ideal but did the job for about a year before yesterday when i upgraded to some 2002 boxxer shoc...

always have a backup. tyre related.

So yesterday I went all out on repairing the batteries i have. I have isolated 3 of my 3s packs which have one weaker cell. Going to go down to 12s this way i can use all 16 of my 3s packs. I intend to have the weaker ones in a 12s string on my handle bars but this way im up to 12s4p which is 16ah o...

I tend to pedal only, if i see a police car, you have to keep your eyes open. I guess i don't commute on mine so most my speeding is off-road and therefore legal.
