Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tir

Thanks for the comparision thread! Can attest to the reliability of moped tires on ebikes.. AFter 15 flats or more with my great handling 20x3 Kendas, I was told to switch to 16" Shinkos.. not only were they incredibly cheap like 17 bucks, but they were absolutley bullet proof... And hardly lost any...

Ah good idea... They didn't give me the adapter cable or any manual... Just a bike and a charger...

Guess I'll keep trying to get someone ffrom Stromer to give me a call. or maybe some dealer can sell me a cable.

2012 Stromer Elite

A new Bike store in Miami bought the inventory of an old bike store and decided that they didn't want to be in the electric bike business.. So they're unloading 7 brand new 2012 Stromers.. I bought a Stromer Elite for $1600, which seems like a steal. Since they are a BMC Dealer, and BMC bought Strom...

Re: Stromer Elite Review

Well I went ahead and bought a brand new 2012 Stromer Elite for $1600... Really enjoying the Pedal Assist Mode.. The brakes are not good but a better set of pads should make the difference. The battery was completely dead when I bought it, and after charging for 12 hours at a time for 2 days, it won...

Re: Need help deciding on which kit to buy

As an update to this thread I did end up going with the ebay kit and batteries wesnewell suggested. I chose those batteries because they are coming from a nearby warehouse (relatively speaking) and shipping was much cheaper than getting from overseas. The ebay kit was cheap and if it doesn't suit m...

Hey! Does anyone have an opinion of the 2012 Stromer? Seems like there were a lot of warranty issues with the Motor/controller... Any other nuisance areas to be aware of? Thinking about buy a used one with a new motor.

Nice look DeepFraught! I'm assuming you've dumped the stock controller at this point.

Could you please tell me how you wired the CellMan pack to the controller/motor? The Metro rear batter has a five pin connector and I have no idea what two of them are for... thanks

Re: A2B Metro - www.ultramotor.com - Video Page4

Going much over 12s is really not worth it unless you gut the stock controller, i really hate that soft start... being used to my 100v bikes lol.. Agreed about the soft start... The price of reliability. Was getting tired of the high temperature cutout in July 15 miles from home... :x So the 12S Li...

Re: A2B Metro - www.ultramotor.com - Video Page4

No, as I said, I don't remember why. I think I didn't want to reuse it because I could fit a lot more cells in along side the new BMS. (Cell mans BMSs are great! so little battery drain.) The other reason was just to save alot of time and effort, cell man builds more-than-adequet protection onto hi...

[/quote]I took apart the plastic case and deemed not worth trying to reuse it. Joepah, if your frame is good, I think we could get a cell man (http://www.em3ev.com) to make custom packs for us with his new high quallity 10C cells! He will be more willing to do it if hes going to make 2+ of these packs, and also because its winter(hes not too busy). With some modifications to ...

Check your frame from underside and thoroughly cleaned before dropping big $$$ into new batteries. Locked rear wheel on rear battery pack was good because it ...

If you get tired of those Kendas, and believe me you will, there are much better choices with Moped tires.. Shinka and Pirelli have some good choices.. They are cheaper, they don't leak and they don't get flats anywhree near those Kendas.

So I took measurements and decided to stick with me 6S battery charging/balancing regime, using stock motor/controllers/connections with a 12S 50V max setup for slightly more top speed than now as per Ypedal's boost pack. I was impressed to find I can fit 37.1Ah of 20C Turnigy LiPo in a 12S7P with ...

Re: osnpower battery 48v 20ah review

i don't see how you can say that using the korean produced cells is materially misleading. The OSN ad clearly states "Geniune Made in the USA short tab cells." This is a draw for those who know the USA cells have a better reputation. If they are going to substitute batteries they should at least ad...
