the chips you labels as GCLQ and G3LN are single battery protection ic like S-8241 datasheet: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/360/S8241_E-5644.pdf the two chips have different thresholds when the voltage rises the one closest to the 100 ohm resistors will activate the balans resistor through the AFGV (mo...

Re: Aprilia RS50 with 4kW QS-motor 17" rim

It has been a long time sins my last post. In that time a lot has happend. eeuh yes. the circuit diagram is simplified, the Cfilter is the capacitor in the motor controller.

I made a Excel calculator for the inrush control components.

hopefully it is useful. if you have problems or suggestions let me know.

that is very big.

maybe split it up in multiple packs. one per motorcontroller.

there are more big drones doing that. makes more sense.

Re: Active pre-charge/inrush control

did some testing of the active pre-charge. for my project i need one to protect the main contactor from damage. i can't use a simple resistor because the dc/dc converter is using some current. first i build up the "Automatic Precharge 3" with a switch an it worked great. Re: What Does brake level and Phase angle means?

brake level. is the voltage level when the brake signal is active.
so when you connect the brake wire to ground then the controller will stop.

Re: Aprilia RS50 with 4kW QS-motor 17" rim

I have made some progress, not as much as I would have liked. I am in the prosses of moving to a new (for me) home, with more space. Before I needed to move, I was working on the swing arm. It was badly corroded so I removed it from the bike an cleaned it with a steel brush. After the steel brush I ...

Re: Install Brake-Hi Cable Ebike Controller

most of the controllers have a high and low brake connector. i think that it has noting to do with the breaking level at all. the low break connector disables the controller when the two wires are shored together. the high break connector disables the controller when the wire is connected to a "high...

Thanks for the reply's love your idea of the plastic printed mockups. Thought the same thing the other day for making for torque arm inserts to fit scott ransom ids dropouts. Aprilia RS50 with 4kW QS-motor 17" rim

Printed the final 3D models of the axle mounting blocks. next I will have to cut a big slot in the swing arm to make the QS hub axle fit. axle blocks.jpg I love the 3D printer for this. pretty fast iteration to get to the final design. Printing one block takes about 3 hours, but that's a lot better ...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

yup easy. but a 80a limited 2,2kg block wasnt the best idea. + why did you buyed the high voltage version (96v)? a small kelly did this job easy. i dont know the rules but of you convert your gas 50ccm bike to electric (official) i think you cant go above 60v. that means 4,8KW maximum. depends on t...
