Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hi guys here's a vid of a recent client of QMS demo ride from Lynton to Windy Point and back in Adelaide metro area
QMS, great video! Those were some tight switch backs. How steep was the climb before the turn around?

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

RST fork testing follow-up. Dry lube did not work on the RST forks, they became sticky again. I tested another product made by SFR which is a friction modifier, that bonds with metals and alloys. It works even better than the silicone spray and shouldn’t dry out. I tested the RST forks riding over ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I used Gunk's liquid wrench dry lube on my dirt bike forks. Maybe its in my head, but the forks appear to be less sticky. I just spray the upper portion of the fork tube and compress the forks up and down before the dry lube dries to work it into the seals. Then I spray the uper tubes again and let ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Rear shock shaft protection. I noted on the Bomber that there is no protection from stones hitting the rear shock shaft. If the shaft becomes pitted, the shock will eventually leak, then you will either have to replace the shaft or entire shock. I made up a foam protector, that attaches to the shoc...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Cowardly Duck, Thank you for the info on the Bermasters. I will have to do some experimenting with tires/tyres. I am curious to see what Hyena says about the Halo Contra. Checked out the prices on the net, they are 30-40% cheaper than the duro razorbacks. That alone is enough for me to take chance o...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hyena, That Halo Contra you have on the rear looks great. Looks like it would really hook up in the loose stuff. Are the knobs bigger than the duro razorbacks that come stock on the new bombers? I like the rotor and calliper mods from Zero you have. Your fighter is really built for going fast, and s...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hyena, Checked out your fighter on you website. Looking at the pic, did you relace your hub motor to a 26" MTB Wheel? It looks bigger than the front. If so, I want to know how it handles. Is it pushing the front in the corners? Breaking loose? Stuff like that. BTW, great videos. Please keep em going...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hello Shane, I am with you, the wait has been forever. Almost halfway through May then June and hopefully it's go time. I checked out the link for the bike AMC 400 MX Hitch Hauler. One website rated it for 400 Ibs or about 182 KG capacity while another site rated it for 450 Ibs or about 205 KG capac...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Sn0wchyld, These are the 2 ways I found to be the best. On regular forks (not inverted/upside down forks) the smaller diameter of the Neoprene boot goes towards the top at the bottom of the lower triple clamp with the bigger portion at the bottom where the stanchion enters the leg by the fork's cros...

Justtoby, I appreciate the information on the batteries. Sn0wchyld, the site for lizard skins is: http://store.lizardskins.com/products. I have enclosed a photo of the rear shock cover. Justtoby, I noticed the frames as well. 100K right there in retail. Really neat. Do you have any information about the new upgraded batteries coming with all of the steatlh models? Hello everbody, Got an email from Darrin here in the US. He sent me a picture of my bomber from the factory at about 90% assembled. It will be shipping in a few weeks with a newer upgraded battery. Looks like June 2012 will be a great month for me. 8) Can wait. Also, I just got my Lizard Skins neopr...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Beutiful Fighter Kepler, Don't know if its just the the video, but other geared hub motors Ive seen sound noisier than that. Is your BPM any noisier than a gearless hub motor? It sure doesn't sound like it is. Once again, super nice build. Spoke with Darrin last night, he says my bomber may be here ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hey Lowbank, Your are correct about the axels on MX bikes. Both of my KTM's with an aluminum axel nut spin over a revolution before the axel nut starts turning freely. Maybe four complete turns before I can drop the socket wrench and spin with my fingers. And that with greasing the threads of the al...

Lowbank, I didnt' catch it at first, but on your drive side axel block picture you posted, there is only one nut (10mm?) on the axel block post. Even though you are just about out of adjustment, the chain may be loosening because there isn't a jam nut behind the adjuster nut on the axel block post. ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hyena, Kepler, and Snow child, Thank you all for the lipo advise. The chain on the bomber, looks like a Shadow Conspiracy interlocking BMX chain which doesn't come with a master link. Taking a link out or just breaking that chain requires a bicycle chain breaker. Taking a link out would move your ax...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Lipo Questions. I have been told with a standard 3.7 volts that max voltage charge can never exceed 4.3 volts and never discharge below 2.7 volts. So if I multiply 4.3 V by 18 I get 77.4 Volts and if I multiply 2.7 volts by 18 I get 50.4 volts. With this information, if I build me a lipo pack using ...
