Re: A123 20Ah Pressure Thoughts--and bits for experiments.

Certainly has me thinking again on best practices for battery pack construction using these cells. Part of a best practices approach would need to consider initial inspection, testing acceptance and/or rejection of cells, etc. Then how to go about making a pack with cell longevity in mind. The pape...

Re: Electric Miata/MX5.

The main thing is to CHECK ALL PACKS VERY CAREFULLY. I don't mean just give them a discharge and charge - that's not enough. Our testing process is to cycle the packs twice looking for any anomolies (high IR cells or low capacity - 3-5% of packs will show faults here), then put them on the shelf fo...

Rimac is behind the battery indeed. The battery is fully flooded in a liquid that boils at 34°C @ ambient pressure

The Regera uses Koenigsegg's 5.0 liter turbo V8 along with three electric motors. They are powered by a nine-kWh, 620-volt, water-cooled battery pack, which Koenigsegg says is the most power dense battery pack every created for a production car. The battery is not water cooled, it's cooled by a liq...

1000kW DC powersupply - Help

Hey guys!

A friend of mine is trying to build a 1000 kW controller for drag racing but he needs a 1000kW DC powersupply.

Any idea whats the cheapest way for that?
