Re: Bafang Voltage/Amp

Many thanks for replies.

As you an probably tell, I'm leaning towards the 15s setup as the cells are excellent quality, in the UK and cheap.

Re: Bafang Voltage/Amp

Thanks for the input Dave, was going to PM you on Pedalecs but you dont seem to frequent there as much.

If I went down the 55.5v route, I will go 3s3p; 55.5v 12.6Ah

My total journey is 20 miles.

Both options are around the same cost, but the 55.5v pack will be a lot better quality.

Bafang Voltage/Amp

I have order the following; Bafang 36v 500w Motor KU123 Controller 26" wheel I had intended using a 44.44 2s2p lipo (Turnigy 6s 5000) but have the opportunity to run 55.5v (Hyperion 5s 4200mah). Would anyone recommend this? Or too much for the nylon gears? There is a 1km hill which is reasonably ste...

Re: Which Motor Next

Thanks for the recommendations, but I've always had fun on two wheels, and that's how it has to stay :)

They do look good though.

Re: Which Motor Next

I live in Kent in the UK. That hill is part of my 20 mile round commute to work :)

18-20mph up a hill
30mph on the flat
40mph in short bursts

...would be ideal :)

Re: Which Motor Next

24s 150a
Crystalyte 5404

The above combo sounds ideal :)

Is there a controller you would recommend? I looked at the Lyen controllers again, but there arent any that meet every part of the criteria.

Re: Which Motor Next

It will be used as and in-frequent commute bike, but for fun! :) I am looking at a Specialised Big Hit, as second value is reasonable. Majority of the ride is flat, other than the hill below (the pic shows 1/2 the hill) http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z313/sacko_vit/1690c920.jpg Range should be a...

I thought of that, just wasn't sure if it was going to be enough material.

Re: Torque Arm Advice

The Bafang is from BMS Battery.

I was going to run it on the inside, as the outside of the dropouts aren't flat. I'll upload a picture..

Torque Arm Advice

Looking to make or modify Docbass TA's. Apologies for the poor pictures. Ideally I would like to mount some TA's inside the frames, as you can see from this pic, there is 3mm I can remove with a grinder and file; http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z313/sacko_vit/a4313ffd.jpg I would like to install ...
