Re: Hyena's super awesome isolated high current balance char
Thats a good point, I had one with the screw in type banana plugs a while back and the leads did get quite hot. Never had any issues with soldered bullets though. As for them getting hottest when trickle charging, that's the opposite of what you'd expect! I guess an added safety measure for those w...

Re: Hyena's super awesome isolated high current balance char
Ive melted the jack leads going from the power supply on 2 of mine before, but this was caused by a poor connection. I fix this by replacing the banana plugs with new one's and soldered them in place to make sure there was no dry joint. All my failures so far are from poor connections to transfer th...

Re: E-S Phasor Electric Bike Owners
Just had my Blue Phasor Lyens 18 fet controller reprogrammed from 80 Phase current to 130 phase current and rated current from 30 to 60 amps. Apart from a couple of test rides haven't managed any speed tests. Today I was riding with another forum member who had a 4060 and its powerful. We were both...

Idontwanttopedal I tried opening the software with the administrator as you suggested, managed to get 2 oks out of 4 so making some progress. AJ, Falco it will be the weekend before I'm ready to try to reprogram my controller. Not sure...

Re: Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)
Looks way cocky for my liking. I say go with it. No reason to play it quiet  A single or double row probably looks the most tasteful while getting the job done but there are other options... A big H, a lightning bolt perhaps ? Too super hero ? Putting it elsewhere around my arms might mak...

When i dp420 my DrBass torque arms in, my hub didnt quiet fit.. I was spewing to say the least! took some time with a file to get it exact but then there was no play at all. Motor only just gets in. Now no need to worry about them coming loose. Im using that bike everyday as sole transport. min 50km...

Re: mon-goose to MON-STER 6KW
Not sure if i like your torque arms there. Think maybe you should dp420 them in place for extra strength. I broke my last ones when regen entered the picture. They were 5mm mild steel on both sides. Any movement al all will end in tears if left unchecked. Apart from that the bike is looking sweet. ...

Re: Controller Mounting Orientation?
I believe you and mount the controller any way you want. sideways shouldnt be a problem at all. The reason why it wont be a problem is that the are no moving parts inside. Just make sure the is good airflow to the controller and it will be happy riding for you

Life got in the way. My son is a Jr. Police officer with the city and needed a ride to an event after work. So I get home, finish charging the last bank of batteries, load up and the wife comes home and tells me she had a shitty day. Really couldn't leave after. Bad thing about e-bikes which is sim...

a friend showed me how easy it is to carbon mould.. it seems like it can rap around 3d corners easily and a mould could be made frome balsa wood or foam. he said butter up the carbon with epoxy first on the under side then lay it on , massage it into place and add the outer epoxy. just had a look f...

with all those high grade components on it I hope you'll make a carbon battery box ! I couldn't agree more with you. I really hope I make a nice carbon fibre battery box. Re: Giant Anthem SL 0 (Carbon Fibre) Build plus other bikes.
Installed my schlumpf high speed drive today. Took about 15mins to do. It was really very simple for those that are thinking about this. Only problem i found was I need a 6mm spacer for the left crank arm so there is no gap with the frame. Other then that im pretty happy with the way it turned out. ...

What are your settings on the lyen controller? I'm running basically the same set up but peaking in the low to mid 5000 watt range. Looking good on all those parts. What brakes and disks are those? I have Hayes Stroker Ace with 203 disks. I'd like to try the 223's. Tom Hey Tom, I have the Battery a...

Hi All, Time for an update. Ive attached a few photos of the parts ive aquired so far. Ill be installing the schlumpf drive this week end.
