If your talking about the white goop on the capacitors then that was put there to support them and prevent them moving around.
Is it still working?

Re: My Cromotor E-Bike Build -> more like a moped
btw: don't use this AS150 antispark bullets for high voltage/capacitance. Mine only worked one time and than the resistor blow up. anyway i think i will stay with them, because i have the keyswitch and precharge circuit. I only installed them just in case if the precharge circuit break down to be a...

Ultimate Ebike transport
I thought I would start a thread to see what people thought the Ultimate Ebike would be for the be all end all transport solution. I intend to travel around the world on this so reliability is a must. I'm not worried about 'legal' I'm only worried about getting stranded in some hostile conditions. H...

Got around to tidying up my wiring today. got rid of all the white bulky plastic connector and replaced with tiny black ones from ebikes.ca Bike is still not complete but it is good for now. Still need to hide the wiring and will be moving the battery to just below the handle bars in a bag like Kepl...

Update on the Carbon bike. Finally got the bike rideable. Its not finished by a long shot as im waiting for some parts to come(small connectors) to tidy the wiring up and to cut them all to length. Not sure how much power is going through it as I miss placed the shunt value for now so the CA isnt te...

Nice Crank! Hope the rest of this build follows that level of quality. My build is running a mxus 500w motor + kit that hyena put together for me. Will be running somewhere between 3-5000watts through it on 20s lipo. Maybe this is the kind of motor your looking for with this build if you dont like m...

Hi ROG130, I too have been building a full carbon framed ebike. I used a new 2012 Giant Anthem SL 0. Slow progress build is on here somewhere. I should have it finished in 3 weeks. All parts have been ordered and waiting for the final parts. I like your frame. Looks good and should be a good base fo...

Re: Powerfull hub motors?
I'm not sure exactly what the crown motor weighs naked. With rim, the 9 continent is at least 15 pounds, and it's not high power. The 5304 I have is very nice, but it weighs 25 pounds laced and with tire. Ughh, too much for dirt riding for me. Fine on street though. Love it on my cargo bike. I'd sa...

Re: Powerfull hub motors?
You would be looking at a crystalyte H40XX series motor then. They are close to 15lb while still having decent performance. 40mm wide stator offers good torque but dont expect cromotor performance without the weight/ copper mass backing it.
