Re: Electric Longboard Building Using Carvon Dual Electric H

Yes, you can still buy all the parts except for the switch/breaker which I recommend between 80A-100A for a Single Hub. You can also replace the FVT ESC with the VESC and it will be a much smoother ride. Check these threads: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=73404&hilit=pediglid...

That pack can only push out 20A continuous, I'm even surprise they can go 20mph with it.

This is nice. It's 2.4Ghz but it's a thumb throttle like a Wii. It's rechargeable and has cruise-control.

Re: You guys heard of Benchwheel?

Hmm...voltage sag does not have anything to do with regenerative braking. I think the board is cutting off because the battery cannot feed the motors anymore, and either the ESC or the BMS in the battery pack is shutting it down to protect it. That's why when you turn it off and turn it back on agai...

Re: Electric Longboard Build Help

It can go no more than 10s, but will work with less than 10s. Even nominal 10s, which is 37 volts, is not the max. Your battery pack's voltage is much higher than that fresh off the charger.

Re: So I bought a lathe...and made Hub Motors

Hey silviasol, nice to see you back. I've pushed out the wheels farther out, allowing increase stability and also for me to offer a Single Hub. The motors were never completely inside the wheels, the motor is too long. So far, this is the only motor I've tested that can consistently take the heat. T...

The thing though is, they make the scratches from the road more obvious than the raw aluminum.

No worries, you can buy new sleeves just like you can buy new wheels from me.

1 skirt bearing and 1 skate bearing for me. I'm not sure about freshair's.

I really can't remember if they will fit. I have those trucks and wheels, got them from E-glide in Santa Monica. Can't find them right now, they're buried somewhere. Since you're just in Irvine, you can pay Altered a visit in Lake Forest. They may have the bearings for smaller wheels. They may also ...

Looking to make my Emad 600 36v more rideable with better clone wheels and freewheel. What size/brand wheels would you guys recommend and is freewheel an option? Lots of drag when you let of the throttle but that might be by design? ...] As long as we use the motor for braking too, we can never hav...

There are tons of sensored motors in Alibaba. Your problem would be to figure out which combination of sensor wires and phase wires go to the controller. It's no fun. :?
