Re: Voltage variance after short

What did you mean by shows up 45%. That sure sounds like one cell less voltage or more to me. After a KFF, you can have packs that read 0v, because one tab fried breaking the connection in the series string inside. I guess you just have some packs way out of balance? If the cells are all connected ...

Re: A Very Very Low Cost Electric Bike from Pakistan

Dear All Many Regards I’m sorry for being absent for so long due to my official engagements. It is a truth that the people who work with dedication are always over worked by their higher ups (Boss). I’ve done following modifications in my creation (Pics attached): Motor pulley is repl...

Re: Voltage variance after short

Connecting the battery the wrogn way to the controller is unlikely to damage the pack as far as I can see. I suppose there could be a slight chance of battery damage, if you mabe connected a single pack revers polarity to a controller that had previously been powered at much higer voltage, the the ...

Voltage variance after short

Well this is embarrassing, Today I plugged in my 48v nanotech lipo pack (4 times 6s8000mah) with the leads from the controller reverse polarity. I think I have hurt both myself and the pack Checking each pack after the event I found two to be at 75 percent via checker ( expected after some use ) but...

Don't some throttles have a three position switch
So you can configure as you wish whilst riding?

Re: Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

G'Day all, Just an update on the trouble that I was having setting up Mercury for "Throttle Mode". After Danny contacted me here on the forum and many private exchanges later the problem has been resolved! I just want to thank Danny and the Speedict Team for their incredible support. Probably the b...

Re: My Trance 29ER (work in progress)

I've been away from it the last week doing a bit of griswalding with the family, I bought the speedict along trying to get it going The galaxy s2 has trouble holding the Bluetooth connection, I downloaded the app to a cheaper Samsung android and it worked fine. So it looks as though I might need to ...

Re: My Trance 29ER (work in progress)

Did a bit of wire joining today, I had to see how it went with the little controller ect.took it for a spin. Result wasn't to bad I spose, still nothing getting hot with the big wheel, and its doing about the same speed. Not quite as good off the mark as it was with the 28 inch wheel and supplied con...

Re: My Trance 29ER (work in progress)

Just looking at it I recon I might put the two front batts below the crossbar on top of each other, controller on top of crossbar, might allow me to have a bit bigger space for a better controller, and a better overall shape

Re: Hi All

I'm doing my first build as a dualy, I was put of them by the shop re bob and bought a ridged, but then figured I got a motor so a lot of that should be negated, so much more comfortable, haven't riden it yet with the motor , and it is all good as 100 percent gruntwheel, that's not yet using the adj...

Re: Battries mix and match?

The issue with placement and size is there are 2 batts sitting on the cross bar under the seat I figure If I can squeeze an extra 15 mm lower it might save me vaporising my junk, that makes a whit for difference for me, peace of mind

Re: My Trance 29ER (work in progress)

I've been a bit concerned about where the torque arms finish on the swing arm thinking that they may make a stress point where it might crack I put a dint in my other giant all to easily they are quite thin, also bolting up the front plates I could crush the swing arm , I just noticed it had a hole i...

Could anybody tell me if there is a problem with using zippy and nanotech turnigy lipos together in one pack they are the same voltage and capacity, but there different sizes the nanos are 195 long, zippys are 165 so they are a fatter pack, that's really my problem Could i use 2 zippy s in the back ...

Re: My Trance 29ER (work in progress)

Well, I shaped it up and it blows. Needed to put a bit more foam round the leg area to make a decent looking shape, and that's debatable :? and its too wide So needs a half a rethink Back working for the week then off for a bit so looks like it gets a bit of a spell . The speedict mercury turned up t...
