Re: Cyrstalte HT 3540 Judder

Thanks for the reply's, Stripped the hub down today. Windings are burnt out. Any thoughts on the most cost effective option; have it re-wound, new stator if available or an alternative motor. I am mainly using it off road in the hills. Thanks, A new motor is likely the better route. The permanent m...

Welcome to the forum. Great question! Allow me to fill you in on a few critical functions. In the upper right hand corner of this webpage is the search box. Just beneath this box is a "Using google search?" check box which simply inserts the search into google.com with a filter for this forum. Searc...

Re: Reliable controller options for sub 3kw

The reason for not wanting two is the admission of doing it is because its unreliable. It sounds like you are saying that you'd rather just buy one really reliable controller rather than two unreliable controllers, but the phrasing is very odd. But if I am correct, I am saying buy two reliable cont...

Re: Reliable controller options for sub 3kw

I am in the process for figuring out the winning combination for the next ebike. However, I'm getting a bit stuck on the controller options. I have decided on dd leafmotor either 1000w or 1500w and a Flux Beta frame. I want to be able to access decent information - battery pack balancing prefer, li...

Unplug the connectors, check them all for bent pints, loose fits, corrosion, thinks like that, reconnect them each a few times and check their continuity using a multimeter. Do not let the bunch of connectors sort of just hang free or problems may arise. If that doesn't fix it, http://www.ebikes.ca/...

Re: Spoke Gauge - Motor And Wheel Compatibility

I question their measurements. Maybe your Q100h you have differs from the ones I have, but I just went and measured a few bare Q100h hub I have to triple check and I got 3mm on 2 of my digital calpiers. I say go to them and ask them to show you the measurement they observe. Maybe bring your own digi...

I don't know of a better stand, especially when you don't mention any details of the one you have now beyond the nut issue, but a loosening nut has various potential solutions. Have you tried things like http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002UEMZ2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creat...

Re: Battery and newbie questions!

1.

2. You want an electric motorcycle. ebike means electric bicycle. Do not use your bicycle as a motorcycle in disguise on roads to bypass laws or you will ruin ebikes for everyone.

3. Get a motorcycle.

Re: Casted vs spokes wheel?

I imagine there is a weight penalty to this, but I imagine the most prominent argument about this notion is that if the rim comes out of true, it is going to be very difficult to correct it, if at all possible with a cast wheel. Simply because the wheel is 'casted' doesn't make it immortal or imposs...

Re: Trying to get to the bottom of belt tension maxinums

I am not sure why you imagine physically lifting anything with those belts, but I doubt it's advisable, especially with anything anywhere near the weight you have in mind. It feels like you are looking at gorilla suits when expecting to buy a live gorilla. I think when they say working limit for a b...

Re: ADAPTTO Controllers - new functions discussion

An option for an external switch to quickly flip between profiles. An external switch to go between forward and reverse. The micro-e. Lower size and and are always appealing, but lower cost is likely often the driving factor. If making multiple versions of the controller simply causes things to beco...

Re: Questions about batteries and BMS

I would have assumed you knew this when talking about building a pack, but cells have a low voltage cutoff(LVC) and a high voltage cutoff(HVC). The HVC for the cells you have in mind is likely 4.2v. 4.2vx7=29.4. Every controller that is described to be for some voltage has a voltage range greater th...

Re: Which sine controller for Q100H @48V?

Define best. The S12S, S06S are claimed to be 'sinewave', but they aren't. Controllers at em3ev.com are trapezoidal. Look for 'field oriented control' controllers. Some examples are phase runner (http://www.ebikes.ca/shop/ebike-parts/controllers/c-phaserunner.html), and adaptto mini-e (http://adaptt...

Re: A DYI Shop Tool for Making Torque Plates

You don't think it's a big deal having the torque arm groove flat at the top rather than rounded?

You also might consider cutting off the tails at the bottom of the groove at 45 degrees to allow for sort of automatic guiding for the axle entry into the dropouts.

I have, a BAC500+, but not a ton so far, zero actual riding on a bicycle with it. Compared to the S12S it is much quieter.

http://www.revolectrix.com/ Have you tried contacting these folks or someone affiliated? Perhaps your charger is still under warranty. Even if your charger isn't under warranty still I imagine they have the information you need and maybe even the component as well.
