Re: Looking inside a Boosted Board

I took my boosted apart and the battery can be easily replaced with li-ion 10S same voltage but bigger capacity but my only concern is the hand remote control battery. If I increase the range of the board than I will have to increase the batt capacity of the remote to. My other concern is the built ...

Re: My 40mph commuter Goped build thread.

its the small parts that threads on that bolt. Also the plastic spacer that connects the bar to the fork.

Re: Bubblegum Boards?

I believe I read somewhere a couple of weeks ago that few people purchased the boards and the esc with the hand controller stop working. When the clients contacted him he replied with a letter stating that the company went bankrupt. They disused the frozen funds and unexpected disappearance of the c...

Re: My 40mph commuter Goped build thread.

The fork is not the problem. Even the one side fork with the axle is strong enough to withstand the speed. The main concern is the small aluminum piece with the 1/4 inch bolt that connects the bar and the fork. It's a poor design. After riding for a short period of time it's too much stress and the ...

Re: My 40mph commuter Goped build thread.

Yeah, be careful....check on youtube goped esr 1000 crash in NYC. The guys was running the goped at 20 mph and the front end cracked and he ended up on the concrete. 40 mph will need a serious modification of the front fork plus you will need a strong front bar and rear brakes. I placed 18650 cells ...

Re: 10S 20ah Sensored Brushless Goped Hoverboard Build

Here is how I did mine. I cut a piece of pipe same OD as the tube. Cut under the angle until in fitted in the opening. After, welded all around. But if you cut a piece of aluminium on the water jet than you can match all 4 halls and make it work without welding. Much faster and easier in case you de...

Re: 10S 20ah Sensored Brushless Goped Hoverboard Build

Much easier will be to draw in Auto Cad a plate that fits the 4 screws of the motor mount and the plate of the frame. Drawing should''t take more than 10-15 min. After, fast cut on the E-flow (2-3 min) and your are done. It will look like it belongs there and will hold the torque. This way if you de...

Re: Boosted 'hacked'

Guys, I don't know much about security of the Bluetooth 4.0 that Boosted is using but I recently purchased the dual plus just to see how it is. After 15 minutes of riding it I decided to send it back. While riding at 20 mph I lost connection with the board several time (heavy traffic) plus starting ...

Re: Trampa EMB Pro Project

The mount is beautiful but how many miles you have on it and how well does it hold?

Look at the boosted boards before and after. They had same principal mount idea and after they switched to present mount. I believe there is a reason for that.

How reliable is that ESC...? How many miles did you cover with it?

Re: Simple Charging Port (Plug n Play)

Any regular balance lead from HK can support up to 40 amps and more. I have 1000W charger and a 1400 W power supply. I have charged my 40 amp battery and the leads are not even getting warm. Most of the load to the battery is getting transferred through the main lead. There is not much current that ...

Re: WeFunk Stealth Division Dual Motor 7S10AH ADS/APS setup

I have to Mamba XL2 and they are 450W and 500W...only 50W difference but that can be caused by the motors. HK motors KV is not precised. Some motors are rated 192KV but in reality they are from 185 through 200kv that results in different results.

Just for curiosity connect the charger and draw 20 amps on one cell and see what is going to happen. The question is if you have a charger that is capable to withdraw 20 amps :)))

5mm shaft is strong enough. I saw boosted boards motors and they look like 30 mil diameter. The high KV is also my concern. I think if you gear it properly it may work well.

Yes, I saw that. It is a great light weight concept/idea. I have myself a mountain board that I use for daily commuting. My mounts are 1/4" 7 series aluminium and they are not connected with bars in between (but I can mount them). It is good on the flat pavement and it is super solid off road but wh...

Re: Trampa EMB Pro Project

Cool built! Very nicely engineered rear mount...My only concern is the strength of those arms. You will definitively need more support to block the vibrations when you slam the acceleration on bad terrain.

What esc are u using and what performance are you getting? Did you tested it off road ?
