Nice reporting… :)

I see that you got between 20wh/m at the best, and @ 30wh/m in the worst case scenario…

Re: Motorino XPn 2011 E-Scooter

Is there a way to jury-rig a hidden switch to deactivate the brake cut-off when there's a big rain, and you can re-activate the switch when it's dry out ?

Re: Motorino XPn 2011 E-Scooter

If you're feeling adventurous, you could disable the switches. Their main use is enabling regen, which, if you're using the stock controller at higher-than-normal voltage, is probably not working anyway. I'm not really sure off the top of my head how they hook up, but there's bound to be a wire on ...

Re: chinese scooter - beastly...

Almost as powerful, saving $1,100. http://www.superscootersales.com/product/super-turbo-1000-elite-electric-scooter/ I agree this one is cheaper and about 75% of the machine that the other one is. A brushless motor & awesome Lithium battery, and a 45kph top speed is quite wild I imagine. Too bad th...

This is the scooter we need, 1500 W brushless, with lithium battery

I've driven one of these, a less powerful one, what a blast, however they're not legal in my area unfortunately

Re: Poor headlights, will these help me?

It's not easy finding a powerful, bright, and reasonably priced LED headlight (for a 48v system) that has an adjustable hinge/bracket for installation.

It is a Gio 350/500w scooter. The lighting and flasher etc… are all 48v, so 12v bulbs won't work… :(

Re: Poor headlights, will these help me?

I use a 12w LED headlight and I feel like it's pretty bright, but maybe just borderline acceptable for myself traveling at around 20mph much of the time. The answer to your question depends on several variables, probably the most important one being how fast you travel. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moto...

Re: Poor headlights, will these help me?

I use 'em, and just got a couple more. They're not as pretty of beam as my Stella 200 but they're only a few bucks and work up to 80V. I used a chunk of 4mm bullet insulation to make a bushing/sleeve over the mounting bolt. Another needed improvement is a grommet where the wire passes through the h...

Poor headlights, will these help me?

Hi Guys, I have the electric scooter in my avatar, that has poor headlight lighting and I want to know if these will help in lighting up the road? The scooter is 48v, and the OEM/stock headlight bulb does a poor job of lighting up the road in front of me. I find the stock headlight seems to only lig...

Re: Motorino XPn 2011 E-Scooter

I can't remember if I said this before. If you are caught riding in a torrential rainfall, or your scooter was outside and it rained very hard on it, you might have the problem of having no power to the motor. The scooter turns on, the voltmeter shows voltage, everything is working but when you twi...

Re: E-Bikers and Dealing with Bicyclists

Good idea with the bell, but there are a couple different kinds, which one will not surprise or insult the cyclists is the question now. On top of that, maybe dress up in Lycra and get one of those super aerodynamic bike helmets. I love your sense of humor :-) And you have to get those shoes that l...

Re: E-Bikers and Dealing with Bicyclists

maybe you just don't get it because you never ride a bike. cruisin on juice in a bike lane on a scooter, and honkin at them to get outa the way. what a way to meet new friends and influence people. Maybe it's the other way around, maybe you've never been out on the bike lane. You should get out and...

Nobody has came close to crashing after using the horn, it's not like I'm standing on the horn, just a small quick tweet to alert them.

Re: E-Bikers and Dealing with Bicyclists

Good idea, but when I am out on the road in traffic, I need the horn. Can I keep my headlight, or will this scare/blind cyclists… ? Re: E-Bikers and Dealing with Bicyclists

I don't care for those e scooters with pedals, but I won't hate. I think they belong in bike lanes if they are around 20mph. use a bell, not a horn when passing I love all this "electric'… whether drones, RC, golf carts, scooters, e-bikes, trikes, Zenn cars, etc… However, if you look around, you wi...

Re: Cheap variable voltage chargers from BMSBattery

I think you have to specify the "charge voltage" when you order the charger. I don't think the charger selects the charging voltage just by plugging it into different size/voltage battery packs.
