Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

Yeah, I figure the current recessed option would be better than the drop through or flushed drop through options.

I'll post a better ETA once I schedule things out. We're getting closer though.

Re: 3D printable enclosure for 1 motor

Sorry, probably best for right now to look elsewhere.

I've been working on a few new things but once everything settles down. I plan on releasing more enclosure designs which people can 3d print from thingiverse.

Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

It's not actually dropped, it's recessed about 9mm. You can ride it as a top mount if you want too. Just stuff a few 3mm risers.

@eboostin - I actually made it recessed 9mm. It will sit similarly to a drop through or a flush mount.

Length is 39.5" and 9.75" width.

Looks like a custom ESC. Fets are probably underneath the cover.

You can adjust the ESC settings and/or trim settings on the GT2B. Should fix your issues.

Motor mount won't hit, you can still adjust the angle if you wanted too. If you really want too. You can mount the motors in the rear.

Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

We are working on getting it done ASAP but of course it takes time.

@appleton - I doubt we'll be able to change the price much. It is a custom made carbon fiber deck and a CF deck without an enclosure is practically the same price.

We will have a wooden deck with an enclosure however.

You can always use the 97mm clones. They aren't that much different from 100mm.

@Saul - If your belt is sliding off it's because your motor pulley is not aligned properly. That's usually my issue.

You guys should test higher KV motors. 230, 245, 260 with a similar gearing ratio 15/36 or so. I'd be interested in your findings.

I can make one for you and upload the .stl file to Thingiverse.

What length, height, width are you looking for?

I'd assume, you'd want it separate.

Yeah. I would imagine I've met a few people who have ridden 3k miles on their boosted. They are also running all in series and not parallel with very low capacity. I wonder what Tesla plans on coming up with and when. Modular packs are the way to go it's just costly. To be able to replace cells woul...

Re: gears and parts in the USA

Most of everything is customized. Sdp-si only stocks "stock" parts or original parts.

You can try their polycarbonate drive wheels which are easier to bore if you don't have the necessary tools.

I'm in California if you need anything as well as Chaka is in USA.

Re: Could E-boards be next?

I don't think so. People with hover boards tend to over do it and jump off buildings while landing on their hover boards. I think there is a big difference between a cheap bms and great bms as well. There are bms which are $10 and some that are $40-50. Even though the bms is there. I feel some peopl...
