Re: Help me build my first electric longboard

That ESC won't do. It's only a 4S ESC.. You'll want a 6S 120A/150A ESC at least.. You'll want to wire (2) 3S packs in series for 6S 5ah.

Re: How do I choose the correct ESC for my electric longboar

Don't choose the 42mm motor. Go with the 63mm motors. They are more durable, more powerful, heat up less quickly. I'd keep it under 260KV IMO.

You'll want a car ESC 6S 120A+ ESC and our the 12S ESC's for higher voltage.

Re: [New(ish) Member] Second Eboard Build; 12S Dual Longboar

I wouldn't get the Multistar. You'd want 12S with 35C if not higher. That Alien ESC won't cut it. You should get either 12S VESC and/or 12S TorqueBoards ESC. Don't cheap out on the charger and go with iCharger 208B + 350W HK Power Supply. You'll like our new motor mounts which should be done soon. T...

12S3P are in production. Should have some available soon. You can pre-order on the website. Delivery is looking at about 1st-2nd week of April.

I'll use this to wrap up the bottom of the deck.

Should work well.

Hey undercover! Send me an email.

I'll send you a replacement. I have extra's which I can ship you. Thanks for testing

I've also been working on a more durable motor mount with less bells and whistles.

The new mount is only 2 pieces and made from 7075 Aluminum.

Re: 2 VESCs dead in 1 week?

Yeah... I have a feeling.. we'll eventually have to upgrade with heatsinks with the vesc.

Ben on his forum made an update post a few days ago. http://vedder.se/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=149

But it should at least handle that hill...

Re: A few electrical/motor questions

1. Cell limit is basically voltage limit almost.. We'll not exactly but close. Most basic ESC's will specify the cell limit and not voltage limit. Per cell for LiPo max voltage is 4.2v * # of cells. 2. A 63mm motor will be much more durable and powerful than a 50mm motor. IMO, it's now the standard ...

Yeah, it works great. http://diyelectricskateboard.com/produc ... ontroller/

I've been using it for 3+ months now. (2) AA batteries will last about 2-3 months. No drops. 100% reliable.

At 145lbs, your fine with a single 63mm motor, 6S 5ah (5-7 mile range) or 12S 5ah (8-10 mile range).

For the price, you might as well switch over to 63mm. http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m608-bigfoot160-5335-245kv.html for $63.74 And/or you can get it with the extra features for electric skateboards and purchase one with a keyway $90 or do it yourself. 6s 10ah should get you about 10 miles. You connect...

560uF 63v for the Caps on the CapPCB and/or you can use a single 2200uF 63v if you didn't want to go the smaller 3 caps. Brand is Nichicon.

You can also find the files in the github and upload to Oshpark.

Re: Working on Custom Carbon Fiber Deck

Original size was 21" x 6.5" x 28mm. I've extended it to 24" x 6.5" x 28mm for possibly the ability to use a 12S3P pack. Deck and lid which will be bolted on. There will be holes for a handle but haven't fully designed the handle yet. Not a huge concave or shape. Wheelbase - I'll have to check. Othe...

www.sdp-si.com if you want pulley stock. The plastic options are easy to modify. We sell 12T, 14T, 16T 9mm width and 36T for ABEC/Kegels. 36/16 gives you 2.25. HTD5mm seems to be the best option. GT2 would be best but it is much more expensive. The typical width options are 9mm, 15mm lately 12mm. Ho...

Re: MARBEL ELECTRIC SKATEBOARD

I'm not exactly sure if it works 100%.. But Evolve, Marble, Brakeboard have used these type of 3-4 notch wheels. Ideally, you can almost use any wheel although.. we are using 63mm motors so smaller wheels would be harder and for an eboard a bigger wheel is better of course. https://www.muirskate.com...
