So the +2500km's ive spent on harsh, bumpy, hilly, muddy, rocky trails werent awesome.....
Sure my mid mount bike can get up really steep stuff when my hub cant, but to say theyre only good for flat riding is laughable!

Re: How good is Cyclone 4kw coaxial suspension bike?

The reason I'm asking about the Cyclone bike is because a friend wants to buy a Trek Powerfly 5 bike, but at 250w,and about $3500 I wouldn't buy one so I was looking at the Cyclone as an alternate for him, also I could find NO info from the Dealer or Trek on specs for the motor and batteries. I mysel...

Re: Neematic - 20kW middrive bike

Neematic. I was looking to replicate the frame design but just remove the storage box (where I assume is the electronics) and use it as an MTB. Looking for a frame so I'd go with either neematic's but slightly changed or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw8zS4DArxQ Thats a hideous looking desig...

Re: Sanity check please: 3x AquaStar T20

Sean, Thanks for the information im glad I checked with you guys first... I assumed that the 4,400 mA or 4.4 amp discharge would be counted with all the cells together IE 4.4 x 348 being 1,531 amps total being the ceiling of the whole pack. I also assumed putting 12 3.7v 'subcell' of 29 cells toget...

Re: Sanity check please: 3x AquaStar T20

what are the cells? they arent all created equally. The RC motors love a lot of amps. Hey Sean, Yeah they are 18650's rated around 2.5+ amps, at full load all with 3 motors it will be pulling 687 amps (Per sheet). So at 348 cells they should be able to handle 870 amps if I understand correctly. The...

Re: The Ruff Tracker - MXUS3000w

So you have the Aluminium frame porucho? My frame is steel, it had 135mm dropouts and I used the 135mm (shoulder to shoulder) MXUS v1 and it fit perfectly. Ive test fitted my big Crystalyte 5404 (150mm dropout) and it stretched to fit. Not sure how far you can stretch the aluminium frame. The axle f...

Did you use any lubricant while fitting the tire? I find Windex works a treat, especially when you start getting the wire bead pretty tight.

Re: My EEB Commuter

I was worried about the angle as well. I've found that in practice, it's not a problem. I don't slide down while riding and generally am sitting at the very back of the seat. It works very well and is more comfortable than the any bike seat I tried in the mount that comes stock on the EEB frame. -J...

They dont feel all that different. I had an ST originally, and thought Id get mmore quish from the LT...it just moves further, has roughly the same feel. Combine it with a springer saddle like a brooks, your ass and your 'old mate' will thank you on long rides! :D

Plan is to go with a 52v Mighty Mini Cube Ebike Battery Pack Panasonic GA 7ah (3 pounds!) in a backpack. Dave at Tangent thinks that a 3KW PAS Ascent should see ~20mis with that battery. I think that has been confirmed by him personally on his rides. https://lunacycle.com/52v-mighty-mini-cube-ebike...

Good looking bike mate!

How does it feel using the thumb throttle with ergonomic grips like that? Ive broken a few bones in my wrist and palm over years of skateboarding and have thought about something like that but not sure if it would feel restricted in movement.

I purposefully built an all rounder (giant glory - 35mm mxus) for the period while they were all in storage.
