Re: Results with Small RPM Skateboard Motors

In this motor, it's definitely better at most speeds to have vents and no Statorade, versus Statorade and no Vents. But if you have both the vent holes and Statorade the effect is best, just not sure how long the fluid would last in that case. very interresting finding, thxs a lot for the quantity ...

Re: Results with Small RPM Skateboard Motors

We had someone drop off an Inboard electric skateboard with damaged controller that provided a good candidate motor for these experiments. I put tape over the 3 vent holes that are normally on the outside of the hub. are the measurements w. 0ml statorade w. or w.o the vent holes taped ? (those kind...

whatever your input system to the esc is, you must still be able to make a "throttle range adjustment" procedure

Re: Throttle Problem 1-4v hall to PWM

I believe "linear" is better than "logarithmic" with respect to ur issue, I think it-s risky to try "exponential" but who knowes... this "forward point" adjustment makes me think about the minimum speed when your throttle just leave its neutral range. Maybe better ask directly alien power about ur i...

I am concerned by your ESC actually ("jet ESC" ?) I see "THROTTLE CURVER: Logarithmical、linear、Exponential", which setting do u use for this parameter ?

I use intake holes on one side and perimeter exhaust holes and centrifugal blades on the other side. This type of cooling works best at higher rpm, . +1 here u can see outlet fan of hacker motor : http://www.hacker-motor-shop.com/e-vendo.php?shop=hacker_e&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=15716702&t=3&c=...

Re: Air-cooling the moving hub motor

the heat pick up would improve with circulating air through the motor, so one side could be shaped to push air in and the other side pulling air out, u could imagine your outrunner as a radial radial pump impeller by itsef that's how a hacker motor outrunner seems engineered such as the one of my e ...

i just had a look to this site http://www.pro-velo.ch/fr/themes-et-projets/velos/velos-a-assistance-electrique/ and in 2012, the law was such that ebikes in switzerland were always considered as mopeds (specific licence if you are Under 16 years old) but do not need specific insurance and registrati...

you wrote that you were limited in ur reduction ratio by belt size and enertion kit, ur motor kV is quite high, it's not a 63mm motor, leading to overheat and cogging at start up, plus inapropriate top speed, this is what usually happens on firsts builts :) usually "normal setup" have some itération...

a little excessive, especially since all the small, single man DIY eboard companies are doing so much for this community. I think it's just the other way around: those small doubtfull little bussinesses would not be even existing if they could not sell half developped stuff to the huge guinea pigs ...

You might try to get something from a motorcycle shop, the jeans i got there have a kevlar inner pant, and they survive motorcycle crashes, as well as eboard crashes

+1 with the above
...and if my little controllers experience matters, it appears that my level of disapointement raise with their price ( the more expensive one being a infineon 40A from ebikes.ca) … so… adapto: no way.
