Recommended BMX sprocket at a reasonable price?

Hi guys Decided to try the single freewheel sprocket in the rear wheel on my cyclone bike. I have some cheaper freewheels but they have no notches on them to remove them from the rear hub, so I dont wanna use it if it wont easily come off if i decide to change different sized sprockets. Looking for ...

Re: Mini Cyclone on carbon full suspension

I now have three Cyclone 3000w fatties and they offer such a significant performance improvement over BBS-HD machines that I mostly ride are Cyclones. There is plenty of snow here and the Cyclone 3000w linked to Vee Rubber STUDDED SNO TIRES tires have shown amazing capabilities plowing though knee ...

Re: Suitable rim width?

I just ordered a 42.5mm outer width and 35mm inner width. 26inch rim. Would a maxxis hookworm be a good fit? Yes, that's a good match. Is the rim a Weinmann DHL42? If not, then what is it? Im not sure the brand..its from aliexpress so i dont expect much haha. Ill let u know when the motor and wheel...

Re: How can I isolate this cell?

Find a single cell charger or a phone charger with a 4.2 V output at 1 amp or less and connect it to the JST connector pins corresponding to the low cell. Check and double check the polarity before hooking it up. It may take a while but it will bring the low group up. When it reaches the level of t...

Re: How can I isolate this cell?

when i touch that cell positive with pack negative, If you touch any cell's positive with the pack's negative, you've just shorted across that cell and all the cells more negative than it, which is a great way to start a fire. Don't do that. Ah sorry..i meant the negative on the JST plug of that 5 ...

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

kind of same question you just asked on another thread. but this time I have a bit more info. What you need for your b6, or other rc charger is an adapter to charge or discharge one cell in your string through the jst plug. Take a male jst plug, and strip out the black wire and the red wire, by pul...

How can I isolate this cell?

Hi guys I had a question about charging a single cell. I have a 20 cell pack divided into 4 packs of 5 cells. I just got a new IMAX B6 and in one pack the cell that Id like to charge separately is the second cell in the JST plug...when i touch that cell positive with pack negative, I am getting a re...

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

No you need to isolate that one cell (group), so + to cell + and - to cell - Where ever you can measure that low cells voltage with a multimeter, just as if it weren't connected to the rest of the pack. Hi I have a 20 cell pack but it is separated into 4 packs with 5 cells each. I have access to th...

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

If you're impatient and have easy access to the individual cell group connections, you could put the alligator clips that come with the imax on the low cell group and charge it individually on the 1S setting to bring it closer to the rest. Just make sure you disconnect the balance (JST) connector f...

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

If you limit the charger to 2A I don't think it will be a problem. Also make sure you are careful about not mixing up the 2 sets of leads. If you have a JST for one plugged in and the main lead for the other, you could end up sending full pack voltage through the charger, or running a short through...

Re: Suitable rim width?

Tons of MTBs use tires over 55mm on rims of about 24mm outside width (~18mm inside). There are benefits (ride quality, low rolling resistance) and drawbacks (instability at low pressure) to using a wide tire on a narrow rim. But it's normal-- don't let Wes Newell mislead you. Don't mount a tire on ...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Skaiwerd, I appreciate the recommendation, tho the Suntour seatpost I'm looking at definitely seems to be superior. I've seen quite the number of $20-30 seatposts like that one, they seem to just bounce around... the Suntour appears to do more (or less, when it comes to bouncing). I've actually als...

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

Yeah you just need to connect a "pack" lead to where the first and last wires of the balance cable you're working with connect to, the charger doesn't know it's balancing/charging half of a 12S pack (or whatever). It just sees a 6S pack, with the appropriate voltages on the main leads and the balan...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Is anyone using a single speed freewheel in the rear to their cyclone? If so, did you need any tensioner for the chain or were you able to get it on tight by adding/removing chain links? Is it better to keep using the rear dereilleur even if you only have a single speed sprocket and bmx chain ?

Re: IMAX B6 balancer question

I'm pretty sure it will bitch if the main "pack" leads aren't connected. I use the B8 on my 16S pack and I had to install a pair of leads for each 8S for balancing with the imax. They don't need to be very big though. I see...so the Maximum OUTPUT voltage that i should connect to the pack leads is ...

Suitable rim width?

Hi guys..considering a fairly powerful rear hub (says its rated at 3000w) for my standard 135mm dropouts on my 26inch MTB. Ill be pairing it with a 72V battery. Seen a few motors on aliexpress that are narrower and can fit this standard bike dropout. What rim width do you recommend that will allow m...
