Thoughts on this controller for this motor?

Hi guys I recently got the MXUS v3 turbo rear motor with 3T option. No controller came with it. I then ordered this one below. Its a sinowave type I was surprised at how quiet it is on the first ride around the yard. The motor is basically silent..and with 50A has lots of take off power. I have a 72...

Re: MXUS 3K Turbo (V3) 45mm Direct Drive Hub Motor

Hi guys..im also running a 3k turbo motor with my Cycle Analyst V3. I am using the magnet on the spoke and pickup sensor/cable from the CA3 for the speedometer. Re: Most powerful rear hub motor for 135mm MTB frame?

The popular huge muxus of course is not 135mm. ( 145mm I think) Get that, and a steel frame. Bend the steel frame out 5 mm per side easily. Or file / grind the axle flats further down past the shoulders, and use spacers around the remaining unthreaded axle that sticks out past the dropouts, so the ...

Re: Is this torque arm configuration ok?

Depends on what you call high power. For 3000w on up, I recommend something like this. This is what I had for racing.Pinch dropout, on Race bike..jpg Or in any case, for motorcycle like power, you need to have something designed to hold more than 1 hp, usually a custom rig of some kind, torque plat...

It will do for a low power ebike, but don’t go feeding high power before making proper torque plates or strong dropouts.
Even if there is a torque arm on each side?

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Okay - I think you need to read the Grin CA web page and the installed documentation (where you installed the Setup Utility) to get this basic stuff squared away. If it's not clear, Grin Tech Support can help. I think we've moved from solving some special issues with undocumented resolutions to mor...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Start the download in the Setup Utility - THEN power up the CA - the download will begin before the CA enters the main application. Do you mean..... I believe what has happened is that either (1) you flashed the wrong FW file that only loads the app and not does not initialize the EEPROM or (2) hav...

Re: Is this torque arm configuration ok?

Looks ok to me. Omit the washer if you need to, to get the nut fully on good threads. Better if possible, to install the axle part of the TA different, and then bolt right to the frame, drilling a new hole in the dropout plate. This is not always possible, but if it is, go for that. Is this torque arm configuration ok?

Hi guys I was wondering if this is ok for torque arm attachment? I got some generic M16 axle sized torque arms and this seems to be the only way to mount the main piece that slides over the axles. I was thinking on mounting them on the inside of the frame but its too tight of a fit and too close to ...

Re: Most powerful rear hub motor for 135mm MTB frame?

With big motors, you have to make torque plates or custom dropouts anyway. I’d say most big motors can be fitted pretty easy.
