Re: The Monolith: World's First Skateboard with In-wheel Mot

The top loading battery case is a cool idea... seems a little flimsy... The vibrator remote is cool and might help out your sexlife... the app is also a cool idea.. The hubmotors we should have running at some point,,, group buy of a carbon fiber bodied.. battery replaceable, bms controlled.. hub wh...

Yup its a long way to walk... :D Abs 6 layer wallthickness, 80% infill.. heated up to 235 as opposed to 230... (be it a faulty thermocouple, panamas altitude, or the position of saturn during the festival of King Momo) gives me better between-layer fusion.. also keep in mind all my gears are 15mm th...

Re: 3D printed parts Depository

The 48 tooth wheel gear mounted on my abec98s on the Vraptor has finally worn out.. I conservatively calculate a milage of over 1000 kms (probably more like 1250 or so) I retired them because on sunday i noticed my motor skipping cause the belt was loose, Since my welded motormounts have fixed bolt ...

Re: Which side should a put the single motor mount on?

the dynamics of front side are much cooler, also you roll/scramble over obstacles as opposed to slamming into them, also your trucks act as barriers before slamming the motor... the board pulls you awesomely as opposed to pushing you... think rwd vs fwd... when you heel side or toe side coleman slid...

Re: First build; Best motors for heavy riders?

I am interested in an 8s possibility, but it seems like all the Car ESCs I can find are only rated for 6s, the only ones I have found that are rated for more than 6s are the alien esc, and they seem to be quite a bit more expensive. Anywhere else I should look for an 8s esc? You talked about the si...

Re: First build; Best motors for heavy riders?

agree 1:2.5 on 83mms is a good torque on a 193 Kv,... i weigh in at 200.. and 17:42 on a 245 Kv works well for me (no hills though) It will however not be particularly fast... So maybe think of an 8s (minumum) or 10s or 12s setup which brings in a new set of variables and dificulties... but as you s...

https://sdp-si.com/ http://www.electricscooterparts.com/sprockets25chain-motor.html although shipping might kill the deal... you can always try an auto shop.. most of them here have #25 sprockets (have no idea why) and gears.. for large redutions (68:11 in my case) reductions on large wheels chains ...
