Re: 48-72 volt controller
Depends on the controller and what the low voltage cutoff is set at. Heres the controller I'm using http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/72V-1500W-50Amax-BLDC-motor-speed-controller-15FET-IRFB4110-Mosfet-52V-LVC-brushless-sensored-sensorless/313864_936095185.html Low voltage is set for 42v, so I ...

Re: My First eBike (95% Complete/Pics)
The Schwalbe Marathon Plus is a good choice since the yescomusa rim is narrow. Panaracer Ribmo is also good.

Re: Building a beach cruiser/ board track bike
I had the same setup for my first build, yescomusa kit with calibike 48v battery. Tops out at 30mph. Now I'm running Crystalyte 3540mph and pushing almost 50mph on 20s lipo, 48v gets boring fast and when 78v is starting to feel slow. I'am a experienced motorcycle just like yourself can't wait to see...

Re: Anyone ever tried to wire up a CA to Yescomusa Controlle
Piece of cake, order the Cycle Analyst V3 standalone kit from electricrider.com it comes with a shunt that allows you to directly connect to the yescomusa controller. Actually even with the standalone I get amp, speed, power limiter and cruise with my CA standalone since my throttle is directly conn...

Re: Giant Trance XC 4000W HS3540 50mph
Excellent build, super clean and enjoying the vids. Still running it at 20s/ and using a battery bag??. Ps: what sort of range do you get. I keep reading these 3540s eat the amps at high speed Cheers Jordan Thanks, yep I'm still running 20s until I can get my hands on a controller that can handle 1...

New video, 40mph+ street riding with relaxing music tps7G9S_R2s i don't know why, but i'm always scared when i look at the way you ride lol... The way I ride is very relaxing to me, having ridden fast sports motorcycles for 3 years, I find a electric bicycle to be very satisfying and laid back.

Re: Giant Trance XC 4000W HS3540 50mph
Love the video, love the music. Have you ever had interactions with the law? What sort of temperatures are you hitting on your HS3540? I just went down the oil cooled route on mine, curious to see how ventilated compares. The law tends to not care what I do. Temperatures are about 102F-130F doing a...

Not at the moment, since I upgraded to full hydraulic brake setup i lost the e-brake levers. But, I just got some e-brake sensors, eventually I'll adapt that to my brakes and get regen.

Re: Giant Trance 4 XC 4000W Crystalyte HS3540
Once I get my temp sensor working I can tell you, but 35mph continuous the motor gets warm. Over 40mph the motor will get hot eventually, so I recommend only bursts of 40mph+.
Overall, the motor sheds heat well.

Re: Price of Chargers..
I need a charger as well, my 4A 48v li-ion charger blew a mosfet. It tops out at 54.6v, but chargers are so expensive! Over $100 from electric rider and I only paid $410 for the 48v 15AH battery with charger!

Its time for you to bump that baby up to 20s 47A, I topped out at 47mph on the same motor.
