Re: Stealth Bomber VS Vector Typhoon V2 14000 watt

Don't sweat the negativity. Haters gunna hate, plenty of ppl here build fast bikes and are keen for more power. Fortunately, you've got a good range of proven options with support located in Aus. Keep us updated on your decision and the results. Its not about spreading hate there is a lot of differ...

Re: Stealth Bomber VS Vector Typhoon V2 14000 watt

I do not have and cannot obtain a motorcycle licence so the 125cc is not an option. My understanding is that either of the bikes listed above do not necessarily have to be ridden at 70mph. They have a twist throttle and if you don't apply full throttle they do not provide full acceleration or reach...

Re: Is it true?

I tried to read the article. If CCCV charging is bad, then what do they think is better? I didn't find that but maybe it's in there with the other irrelevant information. The BS detector was going off in any case. If there was a better way to charge, it would be widely adopted by EV, cell phone and...

Re: Is it true?

Yes, i also will undercharge the battery to 80/90% to prolong life cycle, but my question is does CC/CV actually hurts the battery? If somone undercharge the battery to suppose 90% using CC/CV charger, will it actually damage the cell? cc-cv wont harm a battery its probably the the most effective w...

Re: Please help on controller information

The controller is fried I forgot to mention this, I think it fried when crappy wires from the throttle shorted out. I have no voltage coming out of the controller to my throttle(5v). There is a small chance you killed the hall sensors ( when i last killed a controller like that it took out all the ...

Re: Charge as 14S, Run as 13S

you will have to drain the 14th cell at the same rate you charge the other 13 if your using a 14s charger a 13s charger might work if you connect to the 13s that are flat but you wont have hvc for the charger

Re: Charge as 14S, Run as 13S

if you leave the 14th cell in it will always have to balance the whole capacity that you used and will take a long time to charge / stress out the bms best bet is find a way to run 14s most 48v controlers will run 14s anyway or to find a 13s bms

Re: Is it true?

my stupidly expensive rc charger will charge at the set amps until it hits 4.2v then taper off until its 10% of the set amps and stops so its CC then CV cant see what that would harm them ( nowdays i have it set to 4.1v as the last 0.1v is less than 1% of the charge but takes life away from the batt...

Re: New N380X model from Nuvinci listed on website

While poking around the Nuvinci website for some specs, came across this new model that hasn't been mentioned elsewhere: http://www.nuvincicycling.com/en/products/N380x.html - This "N380x" model has a manufacturer rating of up to 500w and 100nm of torque. - Thru axles supported! - It also appears m...

Re: Stealth Bomber VS Vector Typhoon V2 14000 watt

i dont think deleting your thread and starting it again just to remove the negative comments should be acceptable as i said before the power that you want is well over what any pushbike should have on the road this is 70+mph and is a motorbike there is no way i can encourage this as the chances of i...

Re: Poor man's ebike?

Nah, rules for my country are 500w and 25km/h max. Past that, you need a license. Dont worry about that mate, just buy the 1500W Cyclone and ride like a gentleman. well there is that but i cant really encourage people to break laws as you can get in some serious trouble because most places will tre...

Nah, rules for my country are 500w and 25km/h max. Past that, you need a license. I found this one (used) for a good price: http://www.velo-electrique.com/Images/futuro_explorer_2009/explorer/explorer1.jpg It's quite heavy, but looks fine. What do you think ? i have seen a few of those about around...

Re: BMS for motorcycle battery?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I mean, why NOT balance the cells every time you drive if you can? The problem I have at this point is finding a 4 channel bms that is rated for that short 150 to 200amp discharge peak. Charging should be good, since bms modules with a 30amp charge rate are plentiful...

Re: Prototype EV for race

if your raceing get a cromotor v3 a good controller run 48 72 or 96v and you will have more power than you know what to do with other option is a mid drive setup and you can get 12kw with 30kw peak with off the shelf parts without crazy money and effort but you will wish you had it strapped to a mot...

Re: Stealth Bomber VS Vector Typhoon V2 14000 watt

if you want that much power just get a 125cc motorbike pushing 14000w when the law is 250w is way over the top and will look bad on all the other ebike riders even 2000w will take you up a good hill at 25mph 14000w is a 70mph + bike and as much as i like ebikes i wont help anyone with riding that on...

XT150 connectors should be fine for the high power connectors i have used the XT90 and they have been fine for the 80A i tested not sure what wire size works with XT150 there are other ways to use XT90 at 180A but i cant publicly recommend that

Cyclone motors are from 250w all the way to 1860w for the standard size its better to get something a bit bigger and restrict it than to over work a motor
