Re: Girls on electric bikes

Good lord, I hope I haven't stumbled upon yet another nerdy guy hobby like D&D where there's like 10 male enthusiasts for every 1 of the opposite sex.

Oh, I mean, more pictures!!

Re: flooding risk from climate change country by country

Well, I'm going to build myself a big assed barge and float around on top of it all.

I suggest you all do likewise, then we could link them together and ride our ebikes around in circles till the batteries wear out.

Re: em3ev 25R frame pack finally in.

Someone in Canada should probably order a few of these and sell them on EV so we can all save some cash on shipping. Just sayin. If someone in Canada does that, you won't save money as they will just reap that as margin. What if they came covered in maple syrup? @ Vampa, I"m curious to know ...

So... That's just a little sine wave controller and NOT a substitute for an actual motor controller with hall sensors, speedo and the like, but used as and ADDITION to, if I've got this even a little bit right.

Just a thought, but seeing as you're in Finland and Li-Ion temperature degradation *might* be an issue, why no put the battery pack in your backpack? If for no other reason than having a self heating (kind of) lumbar support?

While we're still toying with the idea (and by we I mean me) how does the the thought of a dual q100 setup at 36v and about 20A sound to you guys? Yea, I'm fishing for opinions before I lay down the money, but hey, isn't that what this forum is kind of (almost) maybe about? V. EDIT I should mean tha...

Ok that makes sense.

As for the weatherproofing, a little bit of vaseline goes a long way, or so I've been told... Mostly by people who make more money than me...... go figure..

"that's cheating!" "at least I'm not wearing leotards!" Had a guy in a Datsun pickup try to drag race me at a red light once, pitty I was turning left. Got the great idea to drag a 54 Belaire off the line intersecting the highway after a couple bers. Wheelied and almost fell off. Seriously consideri...

Re: Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

I've been looking at that particular battery a lot lately. Can't quite seem to figure out how they manage to cram a s/w controller + 52 (if my math is right) cells in there though. What would happen if you wired that battery with internal controller to bbs0x or magic pie or some such thing with it's...

Re: Overvolting Bafang BPM

It is a (16) indeed. Sorry for the lateness of my reply. This more or less explains the torquiness of the take off with the weak top end. Coupled with a controller that doesn't want to let more than 12A in. I'm actually garnering less enthusiasm for this setup by the day. Store bought bike, second h...

I can SO deal with that. Sounds like a good service life, and I guess headways are headways no matter where they come from, but I'm a cynic, and can't help but question a good deal when I see one...

40152 Headway battery from GBK

Wouldn't mind some opinions on this battery pack from greenbikekit.com Thinking of pairing it with a BBS02 750, possibly even a DD in addition at some later date. I like fact that it's solderless as I can't quite decide yet where/how I'd like to mount the thing and would like to be able to experimen...

Crystal clear. I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable than me chimes in, as I really would like to see this plan come to fruition. One thing that occurs to me from a post I saw on the for sale board here is something called a throttle tamer, which doesn't appear to do much more than adjust the min an...

Hey Ykick, what can you tell me about that bike in the first picture you posted? That is looking a LOT like the kind of build I have in mind.

Would you mind even PMing me a few more shots of it. I really like the lines and clean look of that setup!

How about the batteries at goldenmotor.ca?

Seems like a nice enough guy; but that doesn't speak much of anything to the quality of the things he sells..

Overvolting Bafang BPM

Unit says something about 500w (26) or something-or-other about wheel size.

I'd like to push it to about 750w on a 700c wheel. Rear.

Think it will take the heat, or am I pushing my luck a bit?

Thanks, as always.

I love this forum so much.

www.rawvelocity.com

I like them because they are Canadian and into electric guitars and ebikes, but I have no idea about their wares or service.

Can I get a yay or nay on these guys?

Re: BBS02 in French frame or Peugeot suicide.

Well I feel smart. One look at the Bafang kit and I could have ascertained this for myself. I think I was visualizing a GNG kit or some other assembly where the sealed BB comes with.

This is encouraging though; regardless of the fact I still can't decide what kind of setup I'm after...

Thanks guys!

BBS02 in French frame or Peugeot suicide.

It's an old UO8 with cotter pin steel crank assembly. Knowing what little I do about french thread pitches from the 70's combined with my instinct tell me "don't do it," but the rest of me really wants to. Any experience out there? Thanks again, V. PS. Looks a lot like this bike but isn't. http://ol...
