Re: VESC 4.1 Faulting / Failed Detection

Maybe check the DRV chip for solder bridging? That's what happened to mine. A little piece of solder was stuck in there.

Re: Motor wires broken -> repair?

The issue with my NTM motor is that the stator started moving and it sucked the wires in the motor while I was riding up a small hill. Sparks, then nothing.

Re: Motor wires broken -> repair?

I fixed an NTM motor like this. Since then I have had several motors do the same thing and was unable to fix them. I guess it depends on how much of the wires are fried.

Hey Torque, I think that this applies to 12s. @psychotiller is running dual 245kv Tacons on 10s. Someone may correct me.

Re: Seeking Advice on Buildlist

Hey Gamma2, Welcome! The printed pulley that you listed holds up pretty well as long as you use ABS or better. I've use these pulleys on a couple of my builds. Make sure to use the "thick" version with the 83mm wheels. The regular version I found works better with the 90mm wheels.

I'm actually using these mounts on two of my boards. They work great with the SK3 63mm motors. I also like to use drop through boards and these have enough adjustability to work great with my set ups.

Re: Newbie E-Board Build (advice needed)

I have had to return several things to Hobbyking. Never had any problems. It does take a while, though. I would get the wires as low as you can. I must warn you, though. I have fried one of these ESC's just cruising. I still have one in use, but everytime you turn it on you need to do a throttle cal...

Truck Mounted Head Lights

Hey All, I made a head light mount that takes the place of a 1/8'' riser. It uses a 1000MAh 3s battery, so I can balance charge it. Works really well. Here are some pics:
